Jimmy did you hear the story of a helicopter pilot who flew his r44 helicopter into lake lure. When he stopped at the local airport for fuel they told him if he could volunteer the fuel would be free of charge . So he flew out there and saw this couple whose house had caved in any ways the pilot was out there and saw the couple waving for help. So he landed left his son there so he could fly thevwife to the rescue command post . When he landed he told them that he was going back to pick up the husband , the assistant fire chief told him that he could not do that and he was interfering with the rescue mission and that he would be arrested if he went back to get the husband so he had to leave the husband behind or be arrested .

Meet Jimmy this morning, October 10th, 2024, at Plant City airport. They were loading up to take supplies out. You want to talk about a very humble man. Jimmy is the perfect example. Didn't know me from Adam, and through talking, he learned I was getting my PPL. I'm 45, and he basically told me he was proud of me, and congratulations. Very nice man!

This year has been a hard one all over the world when it comes to natural disasters. The cause of them is not so natural... we need to act now, or our kids will remember this year when they grow up as the last year that was almost ok. Here in Europe so many people lost their homes this year due to floods and fire, and its just October. Even here in "Every 10 years some medicore flooding somewhere"-Germany this summer every one to two weeks another "Heavy Rain Event" destroyed homes and infrastructure. We need to act. Not only help those that are currently hit, but we need to prevent and come up with some ideas how to cope with the things we can't prevent.
