Glad that you and your family (and bees) are doing ok after Helena ! The Day After ! LOL We have a saying about water flowing over a road (turn around, don't drown) as it only takes a few inches of flowing water to push many vehicles off of a road and down the stream !

Reminds you mother nature isn't something to be played with or taken for granted. Good to see you and your bees are ok. I've got a friend in Tampa that rode it out on the beach. Water flooded their first story aparments. I don't believe the nectar flow ever really stopped around here this year. Still pulling and they are heavy! Stay dry friend🐝

I agree I watch him all the time! It was funny though I played it for my wife not telling her watching the water over flowing and then Ryan cuts in and she said what just happened. I just laughed and told her that I went out of your channel 3 times before I realized you had plugged into your video. 😂 Great stuff love your videos learn something every time.

I know the farmer said yes to another bee yard and I know the benefits of having a bee farm on a farm.. but out of curiosity Has the farmer seen a significant improvement to his farm or the yield? Soon you will be up to 100 plus colonies and just think after a few short years you are well on your way to the 50 mark if you haven't hit it yet .. HAHAHAHA , but all in all I am glad you all are safe down there and the bees made it through
@BugFarmerBeesАй бұрын
The new bee yard will be on a different property 12 miles away. As for the farms production, well, the farmer was removing peaches from the trees this spring because so many blooms were pollinated the trees couldn't support the number of peaches. All in all I currently have 53 colonies between the two bee yards and will have 73 after the Lazy River yard opens in the spring. Pollination is going through the roof in my area :-)

Interesting hive setup. What type of hive do you have in the beeyard- looks like 8 frame on top of 10 frame
@BugFarmerBeesАй бұрын
All of the hives in the farm yard are 10 frame hives. At the home yard they are a mix between 8 and 10 frame set ups. I think you may be talking about the bee barns . They are heavily insulated 8 frame double deeps. Here is a vide explaining the bee barn and where I got the idea: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGTYqapppLlgsMUfeature=shared

You can get complete hive sets for relatively low cost online. check Bee Castle on Amazon for some great quality starter kits. a.co/d/cX8oDMV. If you want to catch a swarm this spring to populate the hive look at @MikeBarryBees channel. He has a great swarm trap that seems to work very well. Welcome to the hobby.
