Those are semi permanent cranes. It takes alot of time and manpower to take them down. More than they had, and they were probably insured.

They had maybe a day to prepare for a direct hit. It was forecasted to go to Tampa until yesterday. That "small" turn makes a huge difference in effects felt and damage caused. They simply didn't have time.

Thank Global Deforestation We have been murdering trees/ecosystems ever since we learned how to make fires and shelters, and the deforestation has been ongoing , and unchecked. Now we have technology to wipe whole forests out of existence in no time at all. As long as deforestation continues, the weather will continue to get worse.
