These type of events just don’t happen here in the UK, I can’t comprehend it!. So glad you and Carla are safe, hopefully you and the rest of your community can get back to some sort of normality again soon.

Holy crap man! Super close call. Not cool seeing it on radar then seeing it come your way. You weren't far from it at all. Glad it worked out. 🙏

Hey jack, I also live in wellington as well in sugar pond manor. Thought id share my experience with what happened too, once I got that notification I immediately turned on the news to see what was going on CBS12. Once I looked outside and saw all the trees blowing like if we were in a hurricane then immediately just panicked. Thankfully the sugar pond area was not in the cone, but had a few friends of mine towards the meadow wood and aero club area get affected. Everyone was okay and no injury's thankfully. Houses and cars can be replaced but your life cannot.

Me neither. But i guess our softer soil here (especially saturated from rain) really transmits vibrations.

Hey ! Jack I had the same view of a tornado from my house in Indiantown it pass about 1 or 2 mille from my property

I rode at the last several hurricanes near Houston, my house in the eastern eyewall of beryl the whole storm. Luckily our closest tree blew away from the house when it fell. I'd rather deal with cat 3 hurricanes than those Midwest style tornadoes. Those are actually something to worry about. Houston is similar to your area in that we get small tornadoes, didn't think the bigger ones were possible.
