Stay safe in the storm. And Matt... That tight bond wood glue joint is now the strongest part of those pieces. I glue dowels end to end with it and then turn them on a lathe. If I get too aggressive and try to cut too deep the dowel will snap but never in the joint where it's glued. It soakes into the fibers and then hardens.

Old carpenter trick. Mix glue and dust from sanding together to make a fill for screw holes. Same wood so perfect color match. No dowel plug needed.

We bought the same showerhead for our boat! It's actually pretty great even though it was a super cheap Amazon find ;) We added an extra long hose so we can feed it out the window and use it as an on-deck shower too! Cheers, hope the storm blows through no problem 👍

Yes, IT IS ISLETA MARINA, FAJARDO!!!! I recognized that location!!!!. I used to live there as a kid.. I think I was 13 left PR when I was 17. WOW, this brings so many memories as a child. I kept looking at the buildings... etc... I lived in the building facing the marina... 9th floor corner condo... OMG... loved that place... swimming to the little island next door, the ferry, using a friends catamaran to go island hopping... visiting the ship wrecks in the area, fishing, snorkeling Wanting to study oceanography, WOW.. so many memories. Matt the next time u need to line up two holes spaced apart on a fixture; Just put some tape across the back of the fixture, mark the holes with a pencil and then put the tape on the wall where u want it and drill out the holes..

My personal favorite glue is Titebond lll, and I use it exclusively, especially around any wet situations. It’s exterior glue but works anywhere. You guys are doing a super job!
