NO, stay in camper you will be more comfortable. Continue on the infrastructure builds as you have so you can then build a home. POWER , BATTERIES, SOLAR.

Hi Matt, may I suggest where you’ve cut out the slots, the in between boards need a batten behind to secure them, in the humidity the boards may warp. Also, don’t take this the wrong way, can you lift your cap front just a little, it looks like you’re hiding from the viewer,😊you’re doing a great job, it’s not easy I’m sure filming your diy stuff, I don’t think many could.

Not sure why you would even consider that move. For me the camper looks like a great place until you get your house done.

If it were up to me, no, I would not move in to the battery house. It looks great but I'd hold out for the home you and Kristin were wanting.

No don't move in but it needs a screen on the windows. Good job !

Congratulations!! Yes, as someone else suggested, stay in the camper. I still think you should build a geodesic dome for you home. How many square feet do you want for you home. again, I suggest you look into fiberglass re-bar. why not just flat soffits under the overhang rather than the fancy angle cutting? loved the angle on the re-bar (better if fiberglass). I apparently missed the episode where you announced your pregnancy.

Hmmmm, you have made a nice tight box. The window will allow some air movement, some. It is going to be muy hot in there. Maybe some cheap perforated vinyl under the soffit to keep the critters out and let some air move in and out of the shed. Vinyl the whole soffit/fascia and you are done. No rain on wood again...or staining wood again. I just watched the end....you will never make it in that box with out A/C.

Put your washer and dryer in there, put up shelves and use it for storage. It is small and will be hot inside. Build a house. After all when your baby is born you have a long time before you will want a separate bedroom for them and need more space. Maybe 20 years. No real rush.

Why on earth would you move into that?

Nice idea suggesting living in the battery shack or not. It will get the comments going. It starts to look nice, only the door is still going the wrong impractical way.

Love that old RUSH band reference at the end of video -- FLY BY NIGHT -... Best concert of my life... Snake & Arrows , San Juan, PR ... Neil Peart genius lyrics practically raised me as a kid... ... The question about living in the shed looks like comment bait to me... (I guess it's a joke)... But seriously , guys be careful of chemicals, gases and odors, paint etc now that Krysten is pregnant... It's important...keep air flowing and dont get inside with the batteries...

No No NO! Stay in the camper and use the new building as intended. May I suggest a dead bolt on that room to protect your expensive components if you ever leave the property.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THE BATTERY SHED. Instead get power ready and check plans with a genuine electrician. Do not buy cheap solar panels, Panasonic or SunPower Panels set up with Victron electronics will give you solid power for years to go. Check it out. Victron has complete plans how build for almost every size. If you get 15 panels ea. 375 Watt you get 5,5 Kilowatt, which equals 117 Amps/hr. With all that rain, lets assume you get 50-70%. If your camping trailer is worn out, fix it, because your gonna need it for another while. Start building your house like the Greeks doing it. Build a 2 story house, then complete the first level and move in, before completing second level. The raw structure of the house, plus the roof, should be done pretty quick, compared to detailed building of all the rooms. First level includes kitchen, bath, bedroom and kids room, to move in. Second level has master bedroom and 2 other bedrooms or its for the kids. By then bedroom first level turns into living- or family room and kids room into guest room, or similar. Smart planing of the house is crucial. Matt, that's gonna be your master peace, so you guys give it some thoughts. Baby is on the way, so make plans and start it building soon. We're with you guys. Thanks for all your video's, but the best is still to come. Love you guys

Nice going! That’s quite the effort so far! Now, what’s the plan for ventilation? You know, letting all that heat trapped above the windows find an escape route? Have you also thought about shielding against heat radiation from the ceiling? (Insulation, perhaps?) "Mover-in," you say? Are you both suffering from heatstroke, or has the lady caught your unique brand of mental gymnastics? What happened to building an actual house? Are you throwing in the towel, or maybe-just maybe-starting to realize your limitations? Hopefully, somewhere in the back of your mind, you’re entertaining the idea of getting some professional help.

Your RV / Camper is way more comfortable to live in, than the tiny solar "shed". Matt put up a big roof structure over the camper and built a large Patio for you both to enjoy. Your home will come in time, of that I am sure. All the best.

WHAT !?! Live with the Batteries ? ! ! Um ... there's a WHOLE LOT you didn't explain ! Why not stay in trailer ? Why not pitch two 3 season tents on the trailer deck and live there, IF trailer has to go ? Make each tent a 4 person no stake design. Tie down the tents for wind protection. IMO your going to suffer and go crazy trying to live in that battery shed ! BAD idea !

I'm hoping you are joking about moving into the battery shed! All joking aside, living in an enclosed space with batteries would not be wise as batteries can produce explosive mixtures of hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) gases while charging. Even lithium batteries can be potentially dangerous if damaged or catch fire.

Beautiful Kristen, stay in the camper 💯. That building, while great for laundry and storage, looks dark and claustrophobic and I’d worry about ventilation and creatures. When your baby is born and if you breastfeed, you’ll be basically connected to each other for months. My son fed every 2 hours and so he slept next to me for the first year in my bed, because that’s what worked for us and allowed me to get sleep. You’re gonna be tired! Make your space as comfortable as possible in the camper and get your washer/dryer set up because you’re going to have a lot of laundry. My son never used the crib, I never used the diaper changing station because I used a diaper pad covered with a towel. So much $ we spent on things that we didn’t end up using. Most valuable thing was a portable rocker chair (sort of like a car seat or stroller attachment) that you can put anywhere while you’re showering or cooking to keep your eyes on baby. Congratulations! So happy for you, you are glowing❤

1/4-inch hardware cloth for sofits might be better. Keeps the critters out and lets more light in. And why is the door opening into a tiny room? Well, it looks great and I'm sure it will serve its purpose just fine. I hope you two are as adorable off-camera as you are on youtube.
@chuckklima807Сағат бұрын
If your intent was to keep critters out, why not just add soffit panels under the eaves? Much quicker, cheaper, and less complicated. Vented soffits would have allowed more airflow as well.
