I want to thank Cody and the Grindstone Ministries team that came out to the 45 acre Farm on the Hill to help me clear fences and fix my almost impassable driveway that runs 1400' from the road at the bottom of the valley 180' in elevation to the house and shed at the top of the ridge. I had over 80 trees knocked down and another 50 that were topped, are leaning dangerously, or have other fallen trees caught on them. Grindstone sent an entire convoy with over ten volunteers and two skid steers. One team worked on my middle field while Cody's team worked on the upper pasture used for winter hay feeding by my empty hay barn (I need hay but we have had drought two summers in a row). I was working clearing fence on the middle field clearing several trees until I reached a section of fallen trees on the fence that were too big for me to handle. Then I drove one of the medics to the upper field right after Cody fixed his chainsaw - hey that's Wranglerstar (a big surprise since I went with the first vehicles to the middle field and hadn't met his team yet). I appreciated Cody's logging expertise - while I am capable with a chainsaw, I am not a professional logger. One of my challenges is that I have several dozen widow maker trees that are beyond both my skill set and that of the Grindstone team. At the end of the day, we got one field's fence cleared and fixed, a second field's fence was cleared with a little bit of fence repair work remaining that I will knock out today, the driveway was regraded with the ruts filled in (now it needs 5-6 truckloads of gravel), the middle field got the entire south side cleared with some clearing work remaining but the fence will have to be rebuilt / rerouted around several damaged areas (figure one week of work), and the entire west fence line on the upper field was cleared. While I still have a lot of work remaining, the Grindstone Ministries made a huge difference. They literally got months of work done (vs if I had to do everything by myself). Grindstone Ministries is the real deal and they are achieving a lot here in East Tennessee.

DARN STRAIGHT SKIPPY!!! It IS the American way, our dream, our life our attitude. IT has been ingrained in us since the days we were a colony, our Founding Fathers til now. There are two types of Americans, Those who call themselves americans because this is were they live. These people have no clue and take everything but give nothing in return. Then there are REAL Americans, we work to care for our families, help our neighbors and go about our business. We also know our nation is a Republic, a Constitutional Republic to be exact. So called american can not grasp this and will say they stand to defend our democracy. Read the definitions of what a democracy is, a republic and a constitutional republic are. You will be amazed.

I certainly Agree with what you said about the organization. We had just arrived to NC on the 3rd day when supplies was starting to roll in. It quickly turned into a mountain of random items. After spending a day quickly cutting supply routes, we started chucking as much supplies as we could into what few UTVs we had at the time, and making deliveries. By the time we arrived back at our FOB from that first run, those wonderful ladies had hustled and had everything organized. They even had started putting packages together for us to load. It made everything astronomically more efficient.
