@susanmcpeak7267 Жыл бұрын
@OfficerJohn112 Did we both listen to the same story??? OP did not have an affair. It was OP's husband who had the affair with Josie. He left his family (OP & kids) AND sold the house right from under his ex & kids. He made HIS CHILDREN homeless & penniless (the divorce was later)He needed the $$ from the sale of the house to cover his bets. HIS mother egged the affair on since Josie's family was rich. So OP's ex & mother were in the wrong Angela (ex MIL) told the kids lies to manipulate the kids to hate their mother & Isaac. Angela told the kids the their mother had the affair with Isaac when it was OP's ex that had the affair
@gregs2143 Жыл бұрын
@susanmcpeak7267 maybe I missed something. She said he left. I don't recall her claiming he had an affair. Nor do I recall her denying she had one. If she did, I would have left to. Not without seeking custody or visitation. But 100% would have left if she did have a affair

Grandma was a grifter. And her son put money above everything, but his grifting mother. These people are toxic manipulative liars. Little boys that have been traumatized by their father and grandmother's greed and toxicity should not be told that their father is in jail. When they get older definitely or if the boys keep asking about, "Where did Dad go?" Then be honest. If he is going to be un prison for a long time, maybe be talk to your husband and see if he would be willing to adopt the boys as his own sons. Then talk to a lawyer to see what you need to do to get their sperm donor's rights changed, either by the court taking away his rights. Or he signs over his rights of his sons. Sweeten the pie buy showing him a bunch of cash to be deposited into his cantine account at the prizon store. But honor the deal this time and bring your lawyer with you to the prison.

A first yesr law student would have had him out in 15 minutes. Second, unless there was a clearly spelled out abdication of parental rights, and even if there had been, it would have been reversed if the father had wanted to become a part of his children's lives upon beginning of child support payments he would have been allowed access. Just becsuse the mother did not like them, they eould not have been denied. Thats the hell of our legal system..its all about money. Some of these stories are amusing, but some are just ludicrous.

Some parents are able to separate on good terms. Then their are those who should never be around let alone try to raise them. Kids usually have a tough time when the family split. It's really nice that you try being amicable, but reality is reality. Keep the kids in counseling and as they age give them more and more of the truth. Lying to children is going to backfire., but as age appropriate give them more and listen to your kids, really listen. In this way you will give them a decent chance at growth into this world. Be Blessed.

He comes back later after several years because he got kicked out by his mistress, and wants to reconcile and be a father. OP should have been smart enough to have a court approved supervised visits. When you make decisions based on your feelings and emotions, the outcome is mostly disastrous. People in such situations should be able to think on their feet and not depend on emotions and feelings.
