EVERYONE should learn about the traits of Narscissist. Like love bombing, moving a relationship to fast, plans to isolate or isolating, emotional and physical violence, controlling, jealousy, ,wanting to change someone. Monitoring their phone. Dating sites are hotbeds or Narscissist.... it's better to join a club or group to meet like minded people. Or go to events with friends. REALLY important to put the breaks on and take your time, not jump into bed with someone you don't know well. Once you sleep with someone all the boundaries are broken down. Might not end up in murder but a Narscissist can make your life a living hell, destroy your credit and leave you broke and emotionally scarred.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this story was the mismatch described of the couple. I can relate. My wife and I met in high school. She was the daughter of a high ranking Naval officer that had traveled the world and they lived in a beautiful home. I was the son of a laborer who worked at a concrete plant. I grew up in the low income blue-collar part of town. I think everyone wondered what she saw in me, and were shocked when she got pregnant when we were seniors in high school. When we got married and I took a job as a mechanic while still in high school, people tried talking my wife into having the marriage annulled and putting the baby up for adoption. 40 years later we are still married and raised a beautiful daughter and have two grandchildren. My wife's siblings have been in failed marriages after marrying people similar to them. I don't think my wife's family ever really accepted me despite me holding a steady job and taking care of my family. Their loss. That old saying "opposites attract" is true.

This isn’t about opposites attract or do not attract, it’s about the core personality and character of an individual and their true intentions. Your wife was serious about you that’s why she stack by you, if she had doubted and her intentions were different the outcome would be much different. Both of you were lucky that you met each other with good intentions. People murder family members because they are abusive psychopathic individuals not because their interests are the same or different, that has no relevance at all, it’s all about intention and empathy or a lack thereof.

Thanks for your calm and melodious narration, spiced as always with just the right amount of humor or irony: Ciera became quickly in over her head with a man having a history of bad behaviour and failed relationships. Men such as Xavier do not relinquish their 'ownership' of a woman easily. Xavier was still hassling his former wife as if he still claimed some possession of her. . Such relationships as he had with naive Ciera can come to a sticky end when the woman decides to leave, either in a fit of panic or in a thought out plan. I'll be so bold as to state that Xavier did away with this poor girl, yet to experience life.

It is most likely that Ciera never returned to Carmel Indiana alive and disappeared in Johns Creek Georgia the night of 2-24. Cieras plan to return to her parents house with her baby the next morning was the proverbial straw that probably caused her husband to snap. Xaviers mother must know something more than shes willing to share because in todays world, people dont just disappear. Xavier then returns to Indiana without Ciera because you cant make a 500 mile trip without being caught on some kind of video. It’s obvious to me that Ciera attempted to leave with her son to return to her parents house, and Xavier was not going to allow this. If investigators searched his mothers house and found nothing in the way of blood evidence, then most likely she was strangled. This means her body is somewhere between his mother’s house in Johns Creek and Carmel Indiana. It is not believable that she made it back to Indiana when she had no intention of doing so. Police must find that missing piece of evidence that Ciera never left Xaviers mothers house without her son. She did not willingly get into the car for a trip back to Indiana, when she planned to return to her parents house the next morning. This means most likely her body is somewhere near the Johns Creek area where her husband left her, and then he drove on to Carmel Indiana. Since she spent a lot of time near the river, people assume her body was disposed in the river, but I honestly believe the answers are with his mother. She saw or heard something the night of the 24th or the morning of the 25th and she holds the key to this investigation. After Xavier disposed of Ciera’s body, he returned to Carmel only to then contact police to say she went missing. I guess it’s possible that he transported her corpse perhaps in the trunk of the car, somewhere along the route to Carmel Indiana but since the lead investigators are in Indiana, this will be a very difficult case to break open. I think he would want to distance himself from where he left her body, so I would think she is somewhere closer to Georgia. I pray his mother cooperates with the police because most likely she holds some important information about this case.
@lostandfound5145 Жыл бұрын
He needed someone to babysit that child while he was digging a grave. I bet he buried her in the soft ground near the river. He left the child with his mother and took the body, probably in his moms car, to the river and dug a deep grave and buried her too deep for dogs to find her. He needed some time to pass for her to release gasses and decompose so dogs would not find her. So he waited as long as possible to report her missing. She’s in Georgia, six feet under, and his mom was probably there when he strangled her. She knows everything. But she won’t talk.
@lewisdoherty7621 Жыл бұрын
When he said her phone spent time near the river, he probably like others thought it was left there as a red herring so the authorities would waste time searching the river. He got rid of the body somewhere on the trip. In Louisiana, we have an isolated interchange Exit 127 on I-10 Whiskey Bay where criminals commonly dump bodies into the deep navigation canal which moves them along the bottom into the Gulf of Mexico or the alligators eat them. It is beleived the police have hid cameras at this site.

Dr. G would you consider doing a series on healthy relationships? I was in a similar situation as Ciara's and my gut didn't tell me something was wrong til about a month in. He guilt tripped me hard for not driving out of state to meet him for the first time (for the first month we first talked thru fb as friends only). He was super nice, smart, funny, witty 80-85% of the time, but if he didn't get his way about a meet up or if I disagreed about something he would get really short and nasty. For example he did not like me participating in a psychology group, or one of my female friends in particular and would talk trash about both even though he really didn't have any direct experience with either. Finally after seeing loads of manipulation tactics and more negative things coming down the road, I finally determined that it was me who was too inexperienced to maintain any kind of friendship or relationship. I blamed myself , but now in retrospect he was very sophisticated at manipulation. I feel like this story of Ciera could maybe be a lot of women's situations and they don't even know it cause they are blinded by the attention and fake love. I was lucky to have enough background of psychology to label the tactics he was using but even then it was extremely difficult to shake him off me. Btw this guy I was talking to was a realtor in NYC so he knew how to slick talk pretty much anyone.

Pregnant women have a high incidence of partner violence. It's a dangerous time in a womans life if the partner is abusive. Very sad. Think Lacy Peterson and Shanann Watts.

The BEST and most useful comment! I wish I knew better. My gut did give me warning but I'd been gaslighted.from an abusive family since a child so I didn't trust my intuition. I grew up treated like a poor relative in a Victorian novel. I ended up 60, broke and sick but healing.
@messrsandersonco5985 Жыл бұрын
You probably studied psychology because you had family issues and wanted to understand them. You have to have healthy boundaries to recognise someone who is taking advantage or guilt-tripping you. I would suggest that you decide what kind of person you need in advance (or decide what you don't want) and only date those people who fall within those parameters rather than just 'angle' for any old fish!

A neighbor planned her escape from her husband for *years bc she was convinced he'd kill her. They're in their 60s, together since high school bc she got pregnant. She knew she had to give herself as much lead-time as possible. They both rarely left the house. It was really tricky. She had it all planned, a bag ready, each step of the way to go & where he'd be least likely to look for her on her way out of state. Long story short, she got really sick, & her granddaughter flew her to CA for surgery. Her granddaughter took care of all the divorce paperwork. She let him know by text to expect it in the mail. And my neighbor hasn't had any communication with him since, which was last May. Carefully make your plan, but make it.

@@olilumgbalu5653 totally unexpected heart issues. Had to fly out to a hospital in CA for an operation. Knew when she left her home here in Utah it was now or never. She & her granddaughter took, discreetly, in suitcases what she wanted to keep, which wasn't much. She had had a "Go Bag" for years anyway, if she ever needed to leave fast. She has bad MS, otherwise I think she'd have left him a long time ago.
@dubaiedge Жыл бұрын
I want to add: you'd never, ever think her husband was abusive. On the surface, he comes across well. Good conversationalist, seems caring, all that. In fact, I'd asked her if he had a brother, you know, single. I was that impressed. But over the years, I'd hear her drop comments that made me think he might be controlling. She always had to ask him before doing just about anything. Then it all came out one day when I was taking a walk in the neighborhood. I saw them in the middle of the street & something was clearly going down. He looked so steamed, but she was quiet. She'd accidentally let their indoor cat escape. He yelled at her how worthless she was, how she could never do anything right. But it went beyond yelling. I can't describe it. It was some kind of dark viciousness that was so rageful, so intense, so volatile, & she just had her head bowed & said nothing the whole time. I tried to reason with him calmly, & we eventually found the cat. But after that, no pun intended, she let the cat out of the bag. I think I'm a pretty good judge of people, but he had me fooled. I thought they were a happy couple. You just never know what goes on in people's lives until you get an unexpected glimpse I guess.

Anyone with a 'script' for Adderall knows that you cannot buy it without a state issued ID, especially at a drug store where the staff doesn't know you. it's not like buying alcohol or tobacco, even, in that you have to sign a log, each and every time you buy it.
