This is one of the most powerful episode in the entire series. What I love about this episode is the fact that it reminds us that hardships are not all bad because some of us are indeed strengthen and grow most from the hardest points in our life rather than the times of peace. It also reminds me to have faith eventhough that is extremely difficult when faced with some devastating situations. What encourages me most in this situation is that Simon did indeed walk on water and would have continued to do so if he did not doubt when he looked around and saw the storm. This reminds me to try to keep my eyes on God despite what I am seeing which for us as human beings is easier said than done. Sorry for the long paragraph. As always I enjoy watching along with you guys every Sunday. ❤❤

I first watched this episode with a friend whose husband is struggling in his faith and their marriage, much like Simon, and let me tell you, there were tears on my shoulder when Eden's and Simon's prayers aligned into the very thing we'd been praying for months: "Don't let him go!"

this episode moved me far more than all the ones before, there was so much teaching in it. I loved your conversation after words. Now as I read these events it is so much more meaningful to actually picture what's the apostles and those who were there were feeling as it happened.

I think what kinda instantly made schmuel doubt his fervor in going after jesus was the greek guy saying that theyve all hurt each other but jesus was healing that division, n then seeing the pharisee spit on the ground at that, i think thats what made him think twice... could be wrong, but cant wait to see what happened when they went up n prayed together cuz the behind the scenes stuff theyve shown for next season, it looks like schmuel might have a complete change of heart n i cant wait till next season which is suppksed to be january or february!!

Im going thru that right now; my roommate let his cousin move in, n so has decided he wants my room, even tho theres an unused 3rd room, n told me wednesday i have 2 weeks to be out. I showed up at my boyfriends of 6 months (though we started talking 3 months before we actually even went out for the first time), crying expecting him to at least hug me n tell me everythings gonna be ok, that wed figure something out... we had, after all, been talking about living together n been looking at houses n spent every minute not working, together, n were talking marriage, etc... but he decided he didn't want that after all, maybe he never really did, idk, but as i cried asking him how he could do this to me, he went n grabbed my bags from our room upstairs n threw it on the ground in front of me instead of handing it to me, n told me to get tf out of there n dont come back... n then, before i even got out of his town, was texting me bout how sorry he was n he loves me n wanting me to come back, to which i said no, not after he just was so aggressive n irate that he actually physically scared me (ive been severely abused before n i know that look in a violent mans eyes!), n completely humiliated me in front of his parents that i love sooo much!! This just instantly made him irate again n his last text before i blocked him was that he hopes my two male roommates BOTH raped me like the whore i am... i blocked him without a response... i still cant even believe what happened!!! I didn't even recognize him!!!! I know its way better that i found out who i was really with NOW, as opposed to after we lived together n were married, but it still hurts qll the same!!! N now, i have no home, no relationship (he was, i THOUGHT, the first really Godly man ive been with, n i was sooo happy to finally have a relationship founded on our mutual faith n love for God, n it kills me how wrong i was!), n two weeks to find somewhere n get packed up n move everyrhing by myself with no truck, just my lil jeep renegade, me n my 3 lil dogs, oh, n i live off the $100/week i get babysitting my grandkids, of which 25 goes to rent, n im left with 75/week to get back n forth to my daughters, an hour away, n my $92/month i get in foodstamps also goes to pay the other half of my rent, n i get $915/month in SSI, since i had a heart attack in january n have since been diagnosed with copd, n am not cleared to go back to my job in construction... that check COMPLETELY goes to pay my car payment, insurance, the payment for the dental surgery i had to have a couple months ago (had to have all 27 of the teeth i had left pulled n get dentures because since my ex huxband knocked out my front teeth, it started a domino effect of popping fillings n breaking teeth n was having constant infections n abscesses, etc, n had no dental coverage), n also my phone payment. Thats all my bills, i live VERY simply, cuz i have no choice frankly... but so yeah, i cant even eat except for at my daughters while babysitting, n i get dinner if someone basically has mercy on me n feeds me... but so this is my situation i recently find myself in, n have been crying n praying n telling God, my life is Yours, im giving all of this to You, please help me become what You have planned for me, n help me become worthy of Your use of me, worthy of the grace n salvation Youve given me... n im doing my best to not worry n trust God's plan for me n roll with what He brings my way... im such a control freak, so its super hard, lolol, but im doing my best! Ill let ya know how it goes lolol!!!

Thanks guys! I look forward to your reactions in the seasons to come! And, I agree that this series does a masterful job of "filling in the blanks" with respect to what the Gospels don't specifically document. Granted, as you stated, it's not necessarily what did or didn't happen historically, but still a great take on the possibilities! God bless, take care!

Happy Sunday Phil & Erika! Soooo glad to make it to this AWESOME finale with you two. I cried watching your tear up at the near end of the "Walking on Water" miracle, Erika! I'd imagine your heart intercedes for your hubby as Eden's did on behalf of Simon/Peter when she prayed "don't let him go" and you referencing your private intercessions with CHRIST not to let you go, as I also do quite often. Phil, I agree with you that CHRIST'S remark.. "I let people go hungry, but I feed them" touched me immensely also. It's something special about our starving for HIS PRESENCE & HELP that makes our faith grow stronger and our relationship with HIM more powerful! Phil, I also noticed you shaking your head "no" once you realized that Simon/Peter was starting to focus on the storm and looking away from his "STORM-CALMER", lol. I did the same thing when I watched it the first time. Wish I could be in the flesh with you all to share these moments together; but we will spend eternity with THE MASTER in Glory one day!!! Be sincerely Blessed, my brother and sister in CHRIST! :) *hugs*

It can be hard to realize that God allows us to go through trials, but like you said he does it for a purpose. It’s so beautiful. I think trusting God can be so hard because you want him to fix or change the situation immediately and sometimes it doesn’t work that way and that’s the hard part for me, I do trust him and I have faith in him, but it’s really hard so every second of every day is a fight for my mind, so I don’t get distracted.

Wonderful! Sunday afternoons just aren’t the same without the sweet KZbin couple reacting to The Chosen. Unexpectedly raw and transparent…… powerful stuff

Search: 'David & Goliath: The Valley of Elah' by the channel Sergio & Rhoda in Israel Historically, perhaps they sometimes had others relay the message at a distance. But it would not be necessary, depending on the topography. I've seen voices carry much farther than most people would think possible. Like in the video above. They travel to where Goliath taunted Israel from a great distance and test how far their voices carry. It's amazing.
