I'm convinced you know your stuff in TF2 but good lord those train combinations and colors are a pain to look at when you're someone whos actually caring about authenticity xD

Yeah, theyre kinda intentionally wrong. I wanted a unique setup others wont have. Its quite easy to use the same trains as everyone else so a bit of change is good for me

bruh you caught me with the error sound, I have my transport fever 2 open on 3x speed in the background to get my towns a bit bigger before i begin expanding my network (otherwise my plans will not make any sense) and i thought there was something in my game XD

I never really understood high speed connections. My 'high speed trains' span around half of the map, but never reached speeds higher then 240 km/h. My tracks are straight and only turn at stations. I have replaced them all with IC since it reached the same speed anyway and has more capacity. I can't find a video with a good example on this.

The faster a train goes, the harder it usually is to gain the tractive effort necessary to go faster. Maybe there's some hills in the way that are making it difficult to reach full potential, or maybe the map is simply too small for trains to reach max speed before they need to slow back down for the next stop There might also be a segment of 120kmh track that is forcing them to slow down in the middle of their route Hope u find the problem :)

Yeah, the maps are often too small to justify high speed trains. They take too much time to reach their max speed. So, I prefer using fast multiple units on my small maps : there is a mod that adds Stadler Kiss trains which have a good acceleration and can reach 200 km/h. This is perfect for a "premium intercity" service on a small map.
