Same trimmer that is doing now. Last time it did this I adjusted idle. This is next.

This is my problem exactly. Starts and runs well then bogs down after it warms up. Will still idle but I have to tickle the throttle to get it up to working revs but this constant cycle of bogging down and me getting it back up gets more frequent and amount of work done decreases severely so I have to get this sorted out. You seem to have nailed all the problems and thank you for listing them. I made note of these issues and will feed them into what I know I have to try. Now, here's what I was told by Husqvarna itself but yet to try as it's been wet here. Rev the hell out of it to burn off any built up crap in the exhaust section. You were revving that trimmer and I wonder if by doing that you fixed the problem without knowing it. I'm only up to about 6m20s in your video so I'm going in sort of blind here. My Honda mower used to die after a whuile and that was a bad plug. Worked perfectly until the plug warmed up then it would break down (probably a cracked ceramic) but that was an easy fix ONCE I KNEW WHAT IT WAS. For this customer's trimmer though I'm saying you may have fixed this issue already. Now to watch the rest of your excellent vid.

Thank you for the feedback and watching. Carbon can build up on the exhaust screen but that usually shows as boggs down at higher rpms. It sounds like you may have a fuel restriction in the metering section of the carb or a weak plug. I usually swap the plug for known good on "drivability" problems just to rule them out. They can cause a ton of weird issues

In my 30 years of experience, If you are going to use these tools frequently, pay the extra and go for a pro model. They are built for constant use at full throttle. I have 2 535LK's, and have had no issues whatsoever!

I agree. Thanks!

Agreed. I have had the 525L for four years and I have never had any issue with it. Ever. It has been run professionally and very hard. Hasn't phased it at all. As long as there is fuel mix in the tank and grease in the gear head it's ready to go and while it's running it is an absolute beast. Professional series equipment is well worth the extra money. Now don't get me wrong if Husqvarna would have put a dual ringed piston in the 128 series instead of a single thin ring and if the engine had a doul ball bearing supported crankshaft it would be awesomely powerful and last a long time. But as these specific engines are from the factory on the 128s I would wind up wearing it out in about a year maybe a year and a half.

Yes. Set for proper rpm or just a little rich side of max

My exact one does this, when i try to put choke off it turns off. Brand new carburator, gas hose and fresh gas. What can it be? It will stay on, on choke.

Try to open (counterclockwise) the H jet. On carb its furthest from the engine. Do 1/8 turn at a time while checking throttle

I caught my Wife running my 128LD weed eater on half choke. I know she had to be running it for 30 minutes at least. Will that mess up the motor? The reason I ask is because now it shuts off at full throttle.
@RayofallTrades5 ай бұрын
Usually that causes the plug and spark arrestor to clog up. Pull the spark plug and also the screen out of the muffler and clean

I had this model for almost 8 years and no problems , bought a replacement today and it bogs down and dies, also noticed that at the early stage or rev up it sounds like metal on me5al hammering. Never had these problems with my other one

@RayofallTrades I bought the husqvarna fuel so i could get the 5 year warranty, the throttle is hesitant off the start and it makes a weird tinny sound until the RPM's are up, throttle up and down for 30 or so seconds and and it either tries to die or it does die

Dude, you totally know your stuff it seems, but you got to make sure that you actually place the spark plug in the camera frame where your audience can see it when you're talking about it and pointing to it and trying to show them how the spark plug should look with an ideal fuel mixture as opposed to lean or Rich

@@RayofallTrades I took the carb apart, checked everything and set the jets at 1 and 1/4 out, it will still only run on choke or sometimes half choke. not sure what to check next, its evidently starving for fuel.. my primer bulb is circulating fuel, and hoses are in correct spot. new fuel line and filter is clean., diaphram is not perfect but seems plenty soft enough. fuel inlet jet is operating and correct height. I ordered an ebaycarb kit, but would like to get the original OEM carb working. may try disassembling the carb and boil it, then blow it out with carb cleaner.. I have had success boiling motorbike carbs.. I put them on top of a rack in a pot of water.

@@randy1ization sounds like you are close. 2 suggestions, 1 is you can steal the gaskets from the ebay carb and use them on your oem, next is to look for vacuum leaks. An intake leak will give same symptoms. You can check using a spray near the base and intake gaskets while running to look for a change

It could be but I would check the spark arrestor for clogs first. Then turn up idle screw to see if it's just loose. Adjust mixture screws carefully. Too lean will burn it up
