Lets take a look at a Husqvarna 137 chainsaw that won't start. This one has a fuel tank full of nastiness and rotting fuel lines. The carb also needs to be gone through and I'll show you how I do it. #smallenginerepair

Perfect information for what I need to rehab my son’s Husqvarna 137. I appreciate the great camara angle and your voice over narration. Well done👍🏼

What’s happening my man, nice vids, helped me a lot. Like your style. Hey you think you can do a vid on properly tuning a two cycle carb. Specifically a chainsaw that after carb is cleaned and rebuilt, it kicks over, runs for maybe 10 secs when pumping throttle, then dies. It always seems like a chore for me and more luck when I get it properly than anything. I’d love to understand it. Obviously, if your able too. Thanks for all the great vids, please don’t stop. Ted from Long Island.

Some sanity checks should be made before trying to adjust the carb. Are the fuel lines reinstalled correctly? is the impulse line on correctly or is there a gasket thats blocking the impulse hole? Are the primer lines on correctly?

Nice Job Scott! I had one of those come in with a carb that the customer tried to disassemble and broke so he bought the Amazonian 19.95 Carb and parts kit. What a POS. The linkage would jam if you applied the throttle hard and then fall off! OEM always with these, especially the cheaper Poulan variants.

Ya my luck with aftermarket carbs isn't good.

Great info , liked the extended run time at the end. I assume that you use blue loctite.

In this case blue. I keep green and red for special occasions:-)

Nice one, man! I've not rebuilt many carbs yet, but from the ones I have done, it seems that the micro-screen protects most of the internals from getting so dirty that using an ultrasonic cleaner becomes necessary. What's your experience been on that?
@TheGreasyShopRag10 ай бұрын
Its almost to the point that if I feel I need the ultrasonic cleaner then I explore the cost of replacing the carb instead. Of course if they need it right away then it gets the bubble bath.

The fuel pump and metering diaphram kits available just from the dealer? I really don't want all the different extra ones that are available online. 👍🍻
@TheGreasyShopRag10 ай бұрын
The ones I use aren't oem parts from husky or echo. They are original walbro and Zama kits supplied through major parts distributors. I've never tried buying a kit online so can't help you.

I've got a question for you. I have a Husq 142 e series saw. The oil pump system is designed to be constantly oiling the bar. Is there an upgrade I can get so it only oils when the clutch is spinning like it does on the Husq 340?
@TheGreasyShopRag6 ай бұрын
I'm not aware of a kit for that.
@thomasfrost69936 ай бұрын
Crap! That's the only thing I don't like about this saw. It alway leaves a small oil puddle after use. @@TheGreasyShopRag
