As usual, Scott you hit the nail right on the head again. Great job, buddy.

I'm not sure I've quite heard a metering diaphragm that loud either! Kinda surprised it ran like it did!

It's probably worth noting that the gray cover over the top cover is connected by an _interior_ bolt. I scratched my head on that the first time I disassembled one of these

Another great video in the books Scott. I kept looking at the bar and chain on your table. Is there a story about the b&c?

Ive got an Echo Cs 310 that bogs down at full throttle. I removed the limit caps and had it running pretty darn good after adjusting but the next morning it was boging down again. Here what ive done so far. Cleaned the carb in my ultrasonic cleaner replaced all the fuel lines added fresh fuel and ordered a new carb kit because the metering diapram felt crispy. I know i did a lot of shit out of order but my question is what would make it go from running really good to bogging down again the next morning? Hopefully everything i did will fix it after i install the new kit. After watching your videos i know where to start first and ordered the carb stand as well as a hand pump to test fuel lines for leaks. What else should i be aware of when putting thungs back together?
@TheGreasyShopRag2 ай бұрын
First, remove the spark plug and see if your carb adjustments were too lean and scored the cylinder. If its good then don't use compressed air to blow anything out of the carb. You can create more problems that way. Put everything back together just the way you found it. I say that because some kits have a lot of diaphragms that all look really close but are different. That stiff metering diaphragm is likely the source of your high speed bog.

Great job. Do you usually switch fuel filter with carb kit? How do you set the carb without a load?

@@TheGreasyShopRag I should have asked it differently. I repaired a power head and didn’t have the shaft. I set the carb rich, would that have been correct?
@TheGreasyShopRag2 ай бұрын
@@steveriggenbach90 Yes that would be correct but how rich is the question. It would take some experimenting to get the feel for it. Kinda like when I set a saw a bit rich if I'm tuning it on an unusually warm day right before fall cutting season.
