Husqvarna 345 fuel line troubles

Investigation of the 345 fuel line

Is that saw really that hard to pull over? My goodness I got the same saw and it is not that hard never was.

The 345 has a decompression valve. I didn't see this guy didn't push it in to start it, hence why he was struggling to pull start it.

@@bruceernst5000 345 do have a decomp valve but never has to be used. It’s a small saw and doesn’t need it.

Rubbish Just replace the dang line. They go bad, and messing with bad fuel lines ain’t wise! And by pulling it so tight, you aren’t leaving enough slack to work with the anti vibe and the movement that happens between the saw parts. That saw needs more than a fuel line. I’ve got a 345, and never had to pull more than two to three times to start it!

Ah yes, the ballad of off camera work. The purpose here was to get the saw to fire up, I fully rebuilt it off camera with new seals, bearings, clean out the carb, new fuel filter etc, I fully inspected the fuel line (pressure test/vacuum test) and found it to be good, I would not object if you were to send me new fuel line though ;). I note the saw is still running and chopping wood with a new owner.

That yellow fuel line is garbage it’s hard as a rock and doesn’t last very long.

The Tygon fuel line is the one to get.

The Tygon Line is not the same diameter as the OEM and will eventually leak when the saw is place on it's side to refill

Use that cheap garbage yellow fuel and you will be replacing it again within 3 months or sooner . The original fuel lines on the Husqvarnas are made of rubber, not that rubbish.

As it happens i didn't replace the line with "that rubbish".
