Any thoughts on advantage to be gained by timing advance on a ported 359? Mine runs super well without the advance, but I do see mention of advancing the timing for improvement. I might give it a try.

Yes. Huge gains on a 359 with a timing advance. Go 8⁰-10⁰ advanced. You'll find out what you have been missing all your life.
