Husqvarna 450 Oiler Replacement - Husqvarna Repair // Learn Homesteading Skills For Beginners

Replacing a Husqvarna Oiler on a 450 with a Husqvarna 460 Rancher is possible, but you need to use some other parts from the 460 Rancher as well, like the bar and chain. While the 450 isn't necessary, it sure makes tree felling a lot easier!
Here I show you how to do it, things to look out for, and what the differences are between the two. The oiler from the 460 Rancher is a much better quality than from the 450, hence the need for the replacement!
Living 5 - 6 hours from the nearest service stores, we get creative with what we have. There is no time (literally) to spend all day fixing a tool. When you live off grid, you make sure you have what you need, ahead of time. Otherwise, you end up waiting, for however long it takes. Thankfully, we have replacement parts available!

I wanna ask you can't just put oiler of 460? You need all the parts you put?

yes you would need the rest of the parts because the piece that holds the oiler on the 460 than the 450 and then everything fits accordingly.... See @ 6:55

it all depends on how much the other parts cost, if they are less than $100 I would do it because the original oiler is plastic and wears out very quickly where the 460 oilers is aluminum and is still running nicely since I did this video.
