These are powerful mowers that blow discharged grass away I really like that but it is slower in forward than smaller Husqvarna riding mowers and really slow in reverse

What a great looking machine, thanx for the video. We've had a Husqvarna YTH2454 for maybe 15 years, no differential lock. We had to replace the hydro static transmission once, I wore it out after about 8 years on our steep hills, I replaced it myself. The part was like $800. I'm looking at the JD and Cub Cadet with differential lock, I didn't know Husqvarna even made one. I have to say, I'd prefer a Briggs and Stratton engine because they have worked so well for me over many years. I'm definitely going to be looking into this mower at Lowes, thanx again.

Clint Walker Hello Clint, I Love this Lawn Mower. And I’m glad to hear that you had good service out of yours. And I too have always been a fan of a B&S engine. If you purchase a Mower from Lowes the materials in those are different than from a dealer. They are made cheaper. So just go to a Dealer of what ever brand of mower you want and ask them to explain the difference.

@@davidwilmoth5347 Our Lowes around here is a Husqvarna dealer, so is Ace Hardware. I'd never heard there was any difference in the mowers. Lowes is also a dealer tor Troy Bilt, they ordered a snow blower for me. They had a snow blower on sale, I looked on their website, they had one very similar but with about a 45 cc bigger engine. I had Lowes order that one, took about 2 weeks, but I got the bigger engine for the exact same price as the sale one. I'll keep looking, I still have about 2 months before I need it. I'm taking the deck off the 2464 today, that mower is still in pretty good shape. Clean the deck, sharpen the blades, spray it with primer, grease the mandrels, belt dressing.

Clint Walker Just check and see what material the Mandrels are made of on the Husquarna at Lowe’s. Where I live all the materials with any Lawn mower from Lowes is cheaper metals. That’s because of a high volume contract with Husquarna, John Deere, Troy Built. My mandrels on my Husquarna is 3 times as heavy compared to the ones from Lowes. I know Lowes here is cheaper, but they don’t have the quality as our Husquarna Dealer.

@@davidwilmoth5347 We got one yesterday at Lowes. It was last years model, but it's still brand new. They gave us some off the price, we needed that. It's got Kohler engine, I didn't want that, but it's what they had. We weren't going to find a better deal on a differential lock brand new. The best John Deere I could find was 5 years old and 2 thousand more. It's still at Lowes, we're going to rent a trailer and go get it as soon as I can. It's completely paid for. We don't have an "official" Husquvarna dealer around here, we've always dealt with Lowes and Ace Hardware. I do most of the work myself, but not all. I put a brand new transmission in our YTH2454 myself.

@@clintonearlwalker Good Deal Clint!! I am glad you got one. Like I said in one of post, is the only thing that i dislike about the mower is its light on the front end when making a sharp turn. But i have spoke with my dealer and they are going to put weight on the front for me. I was going to make a video with my snow plow on my tractor, but we haven't had a very big snow to video..Not Yet LOL But before i remove it I will do one with it on the mower so people can see it. I wish mine was paid for, but I financed mine. I real happy for you in getting one. I think you will like it. The Kohler motor on mine is a good one. But I would prefer a B&S motor

This is a 2018 Husqvarna TS354XD riding lawn tractor. Very easy to drive and operate. I love the fact that with the new deck design, you can mow grass and blow leaves at the same time. And the feature where you push the switch to engage the positive track axle. You dont even need chains. If i had anything to say negative about this mower it would be that the front end seem to be light when making sharp turns. The front wheels seem to loose traction. Other than that, everything is great.

Painful to see blades engaged at full throttle. Ouch!!!!

I really love this mower. Have used it with no problems. I did purchase the snow dozer blade from my dealer. It is the same color and very heavy duty. It also took care of my weight problem on the front end. So come mowing season, I will have something made to put weight on the front.

I've owned the TS 348 since Feb. 2018 and so far I've loved it. I did have a couple of problems at the start, the wizards at the factory ran the fuel line right on top of the cylinder head on my Kohler 7000 series motor, and this caused vapor lock that would kill the motor after 20 minutes. Re routing away from the head fixed this issue. Then while mowing last year, with 19.0 hours on the clock, the mower drive belt broke while backing up on my sidewalk. The local dealer ordered a new one for me free of charge.($53.00). After mounting a 1 7/8 trailer hitch ball on a heavy piece of angle iron to the back, I am able to tow my utility trailer for tasking around the yard.

Im gonna be getting my first riding mower soon, been looking at this or the 348XD. Seem to be the best bang for your buck.

I no longer have this mower. I traded it in on a zero turn 54 inch deck. It took a few times using it to get used to it. But now that I have used for this season I absolutely love it. I will try post a picture soon of it.

I personally like the hand lever forward and revers on my LTG2654 mower vs foot control of this TS 348XD faster engagement in my opinion front to reverse. Wost pet peeve of My LTG2654 is the gas tank is under the seat under the body. It is HELLA hard to replace. My mower sits in elements all year sun put a 6 in horizontal crack along the back of tank were it is exposed. Have had no other major issues with it. Looking for a new one tires are about bald and see is all shredded Kohler engine still strong. This might be its replacement, but i wont be getting another 54". Just not liking the foot controls. It would be better if they foot control were just separate you know side by side. ""Message"" Husvarna side by side foot peddle not rocking peddle.

This one has the locking differential, right?

This one does have the switch where you push it on to lock the back both wheels into positive traction. This is a great feature too.

David Wilmoth thanks Dave. So is it not always on because it adds more drag in the drivetrain, so should only be used when needed?

@@Amopower Only when you need it, if you turn with it locked it will tear up grass which is to be expected. I use it to come up out of my ravine, I had to put AG Lug Carlisle tires on my JD tractor and still needed a running start to get out. The TS354 just walks right up the hill not a problem.

What size is the rear tires? Also do the front wheels have bushings or bearings? Thanks! Looking at picking one up soon.

The rear tires are 23x10.50. They are The newest ones that came on these in 2018. And the front tires I am not sure if they have bearings or bushings.

Ok thank you. I just went and bought it. On the 2019 they changed the middle roller on the front to wheels. FYI I confirmed it has bushings.

It is slow going backwards that is one of my dislikes. And going forwards it’s like any other riding riding mower. My other complaint that I would have is that the front end looses traction while trying to make a sharp turn, like a U-Turn. It’s a little worse when you engage it to be positive traction. That is my only complaints. And the Zero turn mowers are a lot faster. But for what I mow with it, I’m pleased. I have used it a lot in past few weeks as blowing leaves and has done a great job. Also you can plow snow with this, with the snow blade attachment.

David Wilmoth I have the TS 348XD... what do you mean about blowing leaves? Are you just raising the deck high when you do that?

@@RyanSandersGuitar Hey Ryan, with the deck that came with my mower, it has so much air blowing out from the deck that i blew leaves with it. And I did raise deck up if the leaves were too deep, but mostly on low. For me, last year where i had to use a leaf blower, this i used the mower. It did a great job

David Wilmoth I just used mine to blow the leaves. I have same deck but 48”. And wow does it work great. Much faster than my leaf blower lol. Thanks for the tip.
