HUSQVARNA Viking 980 Sewing Machine Demonstration

I searched this up as I wait for the shop to tune mine up-- never used it, but can't wait to try it. It was a hand-me-down years ago and sat there in all its solidness, waiting for this. The repairman seemed kind of excited about it and described it as top-of-line and strong. Time to make that denim quilt and try sewing vinyl!

I got this machine as a gift and it's the only one I've ever owned. I don't do a ton of sewing but it's always been so easy and wonderful to use.

How old is yours. I bought mine used and I don't know what year it was made?

I'm sorry but I no longer have that machine. When you turn the dials doesn't it make the other stitches? You may need the owners manual.

I have a Viking 960, visually the design seems the similar, and I've been to the Husqvarna Viking website to find a free download manual but I can't see one available. The only one I see is the Swedish website and they charge to download. Would 940/980 be interchangeable guilds?

They probably are very similar. The 980 probably has some advancements. Try SINGER dealers. Also if you have a Joannes they should be able to help.

Don't want to be rude, but if you post about the features of this machine, it doesn't help the viewer *at all* just to say "I hope whoever buys this can figure that out" 😬🙄
