This movie is absolutely awful and the "music" was somehow even worse. I can't stand Adam Sandler or Queen Lateffa. And them as a couple trying to carry an entire movie is 10 times worse. The story of how they met is absurd. Who marries a large black woman to have athletic kids and then has one unathletic kid who has apparently never been encouraged to play sports ? The plot of the story is ridiculous and preposterous. The scenes with the son who inherited the team are painfully contrived and how does the daughter take control of the team within a year? Thinking someone could get in great shape by working 2 months running up a hill, only makes sense to someone who never tried doing this. Whoever approved this script should be horse whipped. The relentless parade of stars doing cameos for no apparent reason is beyond stupid. Did Lebron James and Sandler really need to have every person they ever met in this movie ? Dr J's role was so bizarre, I almost felt sorry for him. The role of Anthony Gargano and his character is completely nonsensical. Why did they have to assign this movie to Philly and the 76'ers ?? I doubt either Lebron or Sandler has ever spent a whole week here prior to creating this mess. The only good thing about this movie was that I was able to borrow a Netflix ID to see it for free. Juancho Hernangomez is so perfect for this role. To think it would be mediocre acting coming from an NBA player who never appeared in any films, me and my friends were amazed at how he approach his acting here, intermediate level already or special. It's his destiny to play that likeable character and people starts to recognize him as "Bo Cruz" now. Like right now, he got waived by Utah Jazz and people tweeting out there justice for Bo Cruz. Just watched this movie last night and I was surprised in so many levels. It's incredibly good and not the usual sports movies I've watched long before, I don't know why... but it's really good, Top of my list. Best movie this year. I like everything in it, from soundtracks to actors and some former NBA players can act really well, like Kenny Smith. The soundtrack are perfectly utilized in each montages, the song "The World Is Mine" has different touch as an intro song, very well implemented. Onscreen chemistry of Adam Sandler and Juancho Hernangomez (my new bae hahaha) tops of the very reason why this film is perfect from start to finish. It's like the new Daniel-san and Mr. Miyagi of the NBA court. I definitely want another round of movies from these two men. For Juancho Hernangomez, as a first-timer actor, it is so impressive already that he's too good in silent treatment kinda acting, that's really hard to do though, not all first time actors can do it. You made Bo Cruz alive, relatable, and believable. Add to that, you're so handsome wahhhhhhhh

I used to play pick up basketball on the streets back in the day, back in the 80's. We would drive in my buddy's car, stop off in some of the most insane parks around Middletown and Newburgh NY and just show up and play. I never played organized basketball, I only played pick up ball against dudes that were pretty damn good. I was a point guard, I was fast and had great skill but some of these kids I came across really humbled me to the core. In gym class we used to play the varsity team, we used to school em pretty bad and the coach would always ask why I never played. I just loved playing the streets. This movie totally reminded me of that minus the pros and the combine.

Thank you Adam and LeBron for making this movie! It was very inspiring, well-acted, and felt authentic. I'm a big fan of sports movies and one of my favorite is Visionquest...I likened some of the scenes in the Hustle to VQ...the soundtrack also had an 80's vibe to it. Also, as a Mavs fan, I loved the Dirk, Luka and Marc Cuban appearances!

This movie is literally perfect. Artistically beautiful and romantic enough so that I would watch a movie that is basically a big sports game. And authentically sports movie enough to make my boyfriend engaged enough to actually sit through a romantic comedy type of film with me.

I played a 1v1 against my nephew today. I've been a big basketball guy for about a year now and after watching this movie. I will never tell him "no I can't play ball right now." He's gonna be great.

This was one of the best movies I've seen this year. Absolutely quality. Sandler needs to stick to making these type of movies he's showing his incredible range as an actor. Most people thought Sandler couldn't act for shit and could only play that goofy guy but boy has he changed that. Hustle and uncut gems are great films maybe make a hustle 2 they've got too

One of those rare movies this year that I watched from start to finish without taking a break. Usually even if a movie is good, it can't really hold my attention for the entire duration but this one, absolutely brilliant! Now I'm thinking Adam Sandler in more dramatic roles = a must watch! The last one he did "Uncut Gems" I watched several times over, never gets bored.

@@lalunesong That depends if we’re talking about the 193 Nato recognized countries or the 211 from the FIFA list...since we are talking about Netflix and they are only available in 190 you must be talking about those. @@natutz Maybe that’s impressive to someone who ONLY posts ALL basketball clips ALL THE TIME but considering new movies with a well know star do THE EXACT SAME THING it’s just another new release! SERIOUSLY...even Adams ‘Ridiculous 6’ movie did the same thing when it came out and that movie was 💩. Check back in about 30 days and see if it’s still #1...then it will be doing something special. Like I said it’s a good movie but It isn’t going to ‘smash the internet’ any more than all the other movies they release with a well know star in it💯. Netflix has some BANGERS in the lineup for this month and next so if this movie lasts at #1 till the end of the month it would be impressive buts still not anything special...it would need to hold that spot until the second week in July to be considered ‘special/smash the internet’ status💯HECK if it is #1 after either ‘SpiderHead’ with Miles Teller & Chris Hemsworth or ‘The Man From Toronto’ with Kevin Hart & Woody Harrelson then that would be impressive...but it ain’t happening 💯
