Thank you for doing this video! I was having the same problem with my Hustler X-one. Traced my problem to that same plug. Cut it out and connected the wires directly. Problem solved! Otherwise, the mower has been bulletproof for 11 years.

yea, my hustler fastrak clutch quit today. its been intermittant. i will jumper the switch and check the wiring to clutch. it only has 120 hrs.

What keeps making noise that you keep shutting off? Is that a vacuum attachment or something?

the oil cooler fan keeps kicking on with key on engine off

@@backroadautomotivefarm9785 i’ve now watched probably 20 or 30 videos about these electric clutches on zero turns and I’ve watched a bunch on the Hydro gears, my friend says his is making a growling noise more than usual I guess and then I’ve learned that these things have sealed units mostly so it’s a challenge to get the fluid changed anal one is But tonight I got his little MTD yard man running that he was given, carburetor was nasty, the needle valve I literally had to pry out. It was so gummed up thank goodness for really nasty solvent ha ha ha ha.

When I pull the pto switch up, I can hear a noise like the clutch is trying to engage but it does not, will this procedure solve my problem?

Yours may vary, but I would go to the clutch unplug it and check for powers and ground at clutch. If you have an old, headlight bulb, see if it will burn it good and bright all parts are too high if you don’t need them.
