A friend of mine had a pink Trick Star back in the day and he knew all the tricks. When used for their intended purpose, these bikes took a beating! Crazy to think that most of these wound up in the trash or otherwise lost to time as we all grew up and moved on. I had a E.T. Factory Kuwahara and, while it wasn't as good as other factory models because the rear triangle was steel, if I only knew then how collectible it would be today!

No 24", Kick dirt. I was a huge HUTCH fan but I'll go with people that truly love and support the sport " TORKER"!

Back in the ‘80’s I had a lavender one with white and lavender skyways, Vector bars and GT Forkstanders, hopefully they’ll do some more complete bikes but with color options, I’d like to see the original pegs on the forks and rear frame stands added back on too.

Had an og trickstar in the late 90's. Bought used with GT parts and skyways. Kinda beater, got stolen before I could rebuild properly. Fun bike tho.

great vid ,, thanks for sharing, i have subscibed as well, just a word.. i do own an originale HUTCH PRO STAR (Racing bmx), the remake trick star with modern geometry looks cool, BUT an intergale part of HUTCH was the bear trap pedals, they really slipped up,,,, that could have been done with new design keeping the spirit in mind of the original pedals , they are sooo cool, super expensive to find

Used to be 4 lbs. 6 oz. For the true temper chromoly 20 inch. This one is probably heavier. The pro race was 3lbs. 11oz in the 80s

Anything released by Hutch is quality and they stand by their product. Not a bad price at all. The aero speed cranks are 1100 by themselves

They will go down by 2025 when they sell little
@mikehagen37854 ай бұрын
Maybe, but 2300 is cheap compared to a full blown custom build, and original Trickstars go for a lot more, like double.. and you wouldn't want to ride it...

The street beat is awful. The Hoffman condor reissue I owned was horrible. And this is horrible. Why? Modern geometry. Avoid.

The old threaded forks and MX-1000 brakes are awful. Newer threadless forks are MUCH stronger, and 990 brakes work 10 times better than the old side pull brakes.

Agree the Street Beat is awful, the Skyway T/A is their masterpiece.

I had 2 hutch racestars and a hutch raider when I was a kid. I had a friend who was the best bmx flatlander in my town and he had a hutch trickstar. He had a haro master before then and eventually got his hands on the trickstar. this was mid 90's when he got that bike. I had a crap load of bmx trick bikes back in the early to mid 90's. My favorite of all was my haro master. That thing was an amalgamation of a bunch of different parts. Had a hutch pentagram sprocket on it, dyno pretzel handlebars, dyno drainpipe seat post, redline rl20ii wheels, redline rl20ii 6 bolt stem, and haro forks. I traded a set of odyssey brakes for that master frame in 1995. I had it till 2012. I just bought a 24 inch haro master for $400 new. I didn't even know they made 24, 26 and 29 inch bikes till probably a week ago when I ordered mine. Just got it today. I plan on modifying it a bunch and making it look as close as possible as my old master. I assembled it today and me and my kid went riding all over the place today. felt like a kid today. was soooooooo excited at putting the bike together and riding it around. My kid says he wants to start to learn how to do tricks on his bike so been watching a bunch of old 80's videos of bmx riders doing tricks. started researching other brands doing cruiser bikes with their old bikes (that's how I stumbled on your video). I might buy a 26 hutch trickstar. wish they were making them in 24. My haro master that I got is perfect for me. My old 20 inch master I could ride it just fine (I'm 6'2", used to be 6'3" but lost an inch with age) and this 24 inch is like the perfect size. its not too big and not too small. I didn't want something that would be drastically different from my old bike. I think 26 would feel too much like a mountain bike. So ya, I hope hutch releases a 24 inch trickstar. If they did I'd be all over that.

Had a chrome Trickstar frame with custom parts (GT stem and forks, Dyno bars and layback seat post, Peregrine 48's, Odyssey rotor) and I loved it. I sold it and still regret it to this day
