I can see the confusion though. Like, why is the ability to reroll your traits also be one of the traits? Yeah, it's technically raising your options from 3 to 5, but you just wouldn't expect a one-time reroll to be found in a list of what would otherwise be exclusively permanent upgrades.

In fact, I literally acknowledged why it's good in my last reply as it isn't hard to see that having 5 choices is better than having 3. I'd even argue that it doesn't need to be changed as it's still a really good option to have. It's just confusing to have only a single trait that works only once immediately after you pick it up with an effect that's entirely temporary. The only argument I was making is I can see why Hutts confused "Second Thoughts" effect to be something it wasn't because his assumption makes it more permanent change that fits in line with the other traits of the game.

If you want some feedback: I love this series, and would love to have it on stream/Hutts2 because it is just too perfect to have on the background while doing anything. And you could repost the VODS of the runs you beat a new boss as an "uncut" video to prevent flooding your main channel with "normal" runs if you don't want that to happen. Either way I'll keep enjoying it

Damage To All appears to also add it's damage to the enemy you actually hit, so it does just increase the weapon damage. Magic Damage deals extra damage to the enemy you attack, but the Magic Damage ignores the target's defence, making is good against things like Skeletons.

hutts! The “+1 defense per loop” perk is retroactive! You first had 25 and after taking it it rose to 33 Also this game is great really wish it would get the needed attention on your channel

Hey Hutts, a little comment about the beacons, their main purpose is to speed up battles and movement so you can make more progress around your loop with fewer days elapsed. The 20% attack speed boost to all is the same as a 1.2x timer on battles, no extra attacks for the enemies just super fast to get the battles done quicker.

Hutts, super important thing I just learned! Magic damage is amazing! Magic damage is a direct damage up, that doesn’t vary like normal damage. Enemies can still evade it, but free damage is good damage.

hutts in my experience the blood groves are op for fighting multiple enemies, the 15%hp execution really helps, especially if you get the blood grove in a clumped area

You can still do village runs in different areas for staggered heals around the loop but what I and others meant on your last vid is to place a village with wheat fields either side then attach the next village directly to them.. capping off with another field. For example: -field, village, field, village, field- gives you the same bonuses as -field, village, field, gap, field, village, field- but using 1 less field (to use on the next heal area) and giving you only 3 Instead of 4 scarecrow spawns. Much more efficient. I hope that made sense and you're doing awesome you're playing the game right don't worry just don't die early game retreat if you're unsure at all as you need the mats for the metaprogress first and foremost to get stronger.

The 20% increase in attack speed just decreases the duration of the fight. (i.e. 20% quicker fight) You won’t take anymore or any less damage regardless of the number of enemies.

Hey there my guy hutts, haven't really ever commented but wanted to pop in this time cause I love the Hutts Uncuts series, and loop hero is a rad game. Wanted to give you some deets that I wish I'd known when I started playing the game. Damage to all is a little misleading as a title. Any "damage to all" stat you get, will be dealt to every target, including the main target, which becomes stupid powerful if you get enough. Especially since you seem to like the spider crystal strategy, damage to all makes clearing those spiders a trivial ordeal. Also, if you really want to reduce the number of tough ghouls in your ransacked villages (or anywhere, really), place a spider cocoon on that tile. They'll take up most of the space due to how fast they spawn, as you can only have 5 max monsters per tile. Oh and, treasury loot depends on the amount of loops you've completed. Anyway, love the series. Hope you keep it going till the end. I love what you do, and have been a long time lurker in both your channels and twitch. Your videos get me through the more boring days at work. EDIT: "Defense is increased by 1 after every loop" is also misleading. What it actually does, is increase your defense by the amount of loops you've done. Doesn't matter how many loops deep into your run you acquire it.

o/ Hey Hutts, I was among the people suggesting village/wheat/village. Thanks for explaining your reasoning politely, I can definitely see the benefit of scattering them around so it's not just camp/village cluster that you get big heals at. If I could make another suggestion though, it would be to try avoiding letting the vampire mansion affect both fields so both the tough boy scarecrows at least don't get vampire backup in the event you can't remove the mansion for a while. Edit: It looks like the "Skilled Armorer" trait you picked up works retroactively because it gave you 8 armor when you took it on loop 8 then added one for each following loop.

you're doing good Hutts, I might get some tips for ya. - always get the Grove and Blood Grove on ALL chapter for the boss (put them next to your campfire), at least - the beacon add 20% attack speed to you BUT not the boss (for now), so make sure to put one near the campfire - trait (skill) for hero that take place after every loop will happen on the boss fight (like the 65% hp for warrior) which is super good - spider cocoon indeed is the best way to get card, you want them as much as you can to go through your card (chrono crystal unnecessary imo, 4 spider is just much harder than 2) - spreading enemy and village is almost always good - sometime grey equipment is just better since they give a lot of (like a ton) basic stat. - as rogue, you want easier enemies, they give the same amount of trophy - put rock/meadow/other around the treasury with a "C" pattern with the treasury in the middle first, in case you get another treasury, you save 3 tiles (keeping you from spawning the boss too fast) - put "rock" (not mountain) *ONLY* for the big (3x3) mountain and treasury (more meadow next to chrono crystal this way), make sure to put mountain adjacent to another (corner included) - I'd recommend to not put "rock" for hp, just mountain (the less card played the later the boss will be spawned for sure), just let the card burn - for chapter 1, you *really really* (like really) want to destroy all the lich palace in every way you can, it should be up there in your priority if not the first - Herbalist Hut should be one of the top priority to upgrade, 4% to 6% is literally 150% potion effectiveness

Hey! Good idea for farming is to figure out what enemies/tiles drop your specific needs (After you unlock the encyclopedia it shows you) then go into an expedition with only the tiles associated with those items. Also the crafting and supply gives you buffs depending on the item, while the houses give you extra slots for items to go into, more houses=more slots=more buffs.

The reward you get from completing treasure vaults (ie building all around them) is multiplied by how many loops you've completed. Sometimes it can be worth it to leave all but one spot complete and going around a few times and then completing it for a huge cache of resources. If you retreat while on your campsite, you can go home with 100% of your stuff instead of just 60%. If you hold down the retreat button, small gears appear above it indicating you will automatically retreat as soon as you reach your campsite.

Always place vampire mansions next to villages after you've passed them, it means you only have to fight ghouls twice. Placing a vampire mansion just before you're 3rd loop after the last means you get the count's lands and a free loop on the ruined village

The fact that an item is of a higher quality doesn't always mean it's better. If we look at a grey item and an orange item at the same level, the orange one might have more stats, but they usualy are more watered down. What it means is that the grey item, let's say a sword, will give You a higher damage stat, but not rend any additional bonuses, and the orange sword on the same level will make you deal less damage comared to the grey one, but You might get some necessary vampirism or counter. This obviously isn't the case every single time, but it's good to keep in the back of your mind. Hope this helps a tiny bit when going for certain builds and choosing Your equipment!

Just wanna say that the "Skilled Armorer" trait works retroactively, it will add the defense you earned from previous loops immediately after you take it, so it works the same no matter when you take it, you can even see it in the video at 39:05. And also for the algorithm

Just in case you didn't notice hutts, and I checked back right before you got it to make sure, when you got the +1 defense per loop, it added defense retroactively per loop you already completed, aka you got 8 defense immediately when you got the perk, and then it continues to add defense for every loop after that as well. So basically, it's always a good idea to get it because you don't actually lose out on defense for the loops you already did. Edit: I skipped around a bit towards the end of the video so sorry if I'm telling you something that you already figured out.

I figured out that the base stats of the equipments get lowered the better the rarity is. So sometimes it's better to keep or equip higher level/normal quality equipment. Rogue is also QUITE strong vs bosses (especially if at 60%+ evasion)

Also if you put a grove between a blood grove and a vampire mansion and then oblivion the grove it will turn the blood grove into a hungry grove. Then if you put a village where the grove was it will spawn a ransacked village and if you feed it until a flesh golem spawns it will walk into the ransacked village and immediately turn it into counts lands without needing to clear it 3 times

Damage to all can be extremely strong when stacked on all items and weapons especially against numerous enemies.. not so good on single, high HP enemies like the lich (evasion for him) but don't discount it it is strong AF and avoid counter 95 percent of the time it is mostly useless.. especially compared to evasion.

The lower the number of stats on a piece of gear the higher those stats will be. A grey vampirism ring will have higher vampirism than an orange version 3 levels higher.

If you put a blood grove next to the villages with the ghouls it makes the ghoul fights waaaayyyy easier. They can't eat eachother to heal or respawn because they are being eaten by the blood grove

Crit chance on items, there's a trait that gives you a chance to deal 1000% more damage, and if you use crit chance with counter you heal for so so much!

The skill Armor trait gave you 8 Armor instead of one (as per the loop you are in). So you can take it any time even if it's late

by the way hutts, you should look at common gear more. they only have one stat, but its super buffer. a lvl ten common sword has 15+ more damage that a rare one, and you can get like a 40% attack speed ring

Hutts be like: I don't like the isaac items where you have to take damage to activate them. And then in this run he's like: ooohhhh yeah gotta love being able to hit the enemy once when I take damage. Counter just seems bad. Dodging would be so much better, or just regen or vampirism.

So the equipment is strange. If you have a blue it's enchants will be higher numbers than orange but orange will have more enchants. So sometimes blues are better than orange or yellow. It all depends on the build

Please don't worry about not doing entertaining stuff and stuff that you think the game doesn't want you to do. Just play the game like there is no Timmy antagonizing you, the most fun part acoording to me, is seeing how different strategies people have. Btw here are some tips: The second thoughts perk, doesn't change the perks you have, it rerolls the perks that are offered to you so that you can find your favorite perks more often. The Beacon Doesn't give your enemies an advantage in the fight. The buff is useful for battles against enemys that rely on the passing of time but it also anti-synergizes with the knight as he gets stronger with each second of the fight. Basically you could rewrite the beacons text to say: Battles happen 20% faster.

The Thought of "its not higher Level and isnt rare etc" is something I learnt as very ineffective. I often had Orange Weapons with baller stats, but a grey one that had about double the base damage from my original one proved me more healthy. After all, why need the extra stats against the enemies, if you can kill these enemies quicker and avoid unnecessary damage?. In my humble opinion, getting a base stat upgrade is almost always worth going for regardless the rarity , Mainly on the weapon slots.. Level is generally good but having certain stats for a direction can prove efficient aswell

"Damage to all seems pretty bad" I doubt he'll see this but from my POV it seems really good if you stack it a lot to clear out big waves of enemys quickly, like regeneration is bad if you only have .69 hp per second, same with damage to all, if you have only 8 damage to all, that's like 1/6th of an attack, but if you get to like 25 damage to all every other attack in short hits all enemys

Fisrt I used to use a lot of counter, but realize that is good at the beginning because u have to take damage to activate it. Than used vampirism around 30%. It's ok but than I tried evade... eaven around 30% is very usefull. Incredible! I've killed the Lich at the first try (in the run I experimented that) with this method! Recommended.

For an easier lich win. Minimum 20 percent evasion (30-40+ way better). That's it really.. Vampirism and ATK speed helps too but not really necessary it's all about not getting hit with those big number in the first place. High evade destroys him.
