Only guessing is a good good choice word. Because if they are trying to top off the gas . Just to get a cold evap. Then they are only guessing. Usually every mini split I get called out to after someone was just there previously. I recover refrigerant and it almost always over charged. Then later when it get really hot, refrigerant has nowhere to expand to. That’s when I get the call from the customer complaining that the system doesn’t work good or it shuts down.. . It so easy and fast to recover the refrigerant and weigh it to prove that is correct or not correct. Don’t compromise your reputation of your business over a little more work..

Well, after 43 years in the trade and then 17 years retiring; I must admit some things have changed. The only dislike I have are those circuit boards in the systems. Who knows what the heck is going on. Makes a tech job very easy to make a mistake and destroy a wonderful machine. I guess next there will be software and a computer USB interface.

Great videos. Question does it matter or is there a maximum length for the lines from the outdoor compressor to the indoor air handler and I see many installers coiling the extra tubing in a coil and tucking it in behind the outdoor unit. Is this recommended or should the lines be cut and shortened and kept straight with no coils? Anyone?

TO CHARGE FREON 32 AND FREON R41O IN THE SPLIT INVENTER AC, THE ROOM TEMPERATURE IS SET TO HOW MANY DEGREES CELCIUS AND HOW IS THE FAN SPEED ... IS IT LOW, MEDIUM OR HIGH, THANK YOU

My mini split is spitting droplets of water from the indoor unit..when on cool. I checked the drain it wasn't clogged and the unit is tilted properly for water to run towards the drain...could it be over charged/ under charged with refrigerant?

Mine too; the indoor coils were iced over, the unit was undercharged.

Its what sucks about modern mini splits they only have a low port so you want to test high pressure you have to shut it down and put it on heat time wasters
