To make it the filter situation even worse, a lot of that dust was probably conductive carbon dust from the elevator motor brushes. (If they are brushed motors tho)

in machinery room using splits remove the plastic cover that u lift to access filters and leave it off. also set air direction a bit lower

It seems that this air conditioner is intended for cooling the elevator motor, in a hotel or commercial office building, etc, and this is the disaster !!! the problem with hotels and commercial buildings is that they neglect the air conditioning system . no cleaning of filters, no cleaning of the outdoor unit at the beginning of each summer, or anything !!! they turn it on and off only, and after that they say why is the air conditioner damged !!! they do not deal with the air conditioner as we do in our homes . we clean the filters continuously and clean the condenser of the outdoor unit with a water hose at the beginning of each summer so that the air conditioner works efficiently and does not cause any malfunctions that cost us money (we care) but they do not care at all !!! most of the malfunctions in air conditioners occur in hotels and commercial buildings due to their amazing and strange negligence !!! I think you agree with me on that hey freind .
