I remember a high rise in the 90's that was almost identical to this setup. Just a bunch of First Co. fir-downs crammed into the smallest of spaces, covered up, and without any consideration for future servicing. Watching this video makes me happy that I've been doing commercial/induistrial/data centers ever since! :)

Haha I hear you with that but Im a commerical tech and this is a hotel. It's part of the road. Larger units are definitely more comfortable to work on 💯 Not a fan of the tight spaces but it's part of working in New York city where space is so limited🤯 Thanks for watching & stay safe out there! 🔧⚡️

Used to do residential HVAC. I neverr saw anything like this. How old are these units? Everything looks like many people have dipped their fingers into this equipment over the years. Thank you for posting these vids. They take me back.

16 floors of nightmare units just like this 😂 Many people have serviced these units over the years & if you see some of my other videos, you'll see they only made things worse before I arrive and have to fix their mistakes. Many companies have even gave up. No wiring diagrams and these units date back to 2005. Definitely a mystery box every time I arrive. You're very welcome & thank you for watching! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

Looks like a situation the contractor said if it fits it ships. By the time that thing needs repairs the original guys are long gone.

I hate apartment buildings, hotels, hospitals in NYC and NJ. Shit was done so it’ll never be serviced again without doing so much work to just get to the units. Just replaced a blower fan motor on a climate master in the ceilings. that cost as much as installing a new unit because we had to uninstall the freaking thing and reinstall it again 😂😂😂.

You probably already know this, if you do and I am wasting your time, I’m sorry. But, if you don’t, then it may be of use. When I was going to, or, already into a job like this, I would use VERY ROBUST cardboardish, tag’s with METAL tying. If you can, don’t use abbreviations as they may be like a foreign language to the next guy. BUT, if you are one almighty SOB don’t tag, or label or mark in any other way. Just use your notebook. Just remember that you maybe the next guy. Have fun and good luck
