I have an Ecobee stat. Some things I like, some things I really don't like. It has 3 modes, Auto, Heat, AC. This spring I switched it into Auto mode. Over time it seemed like the AC would run a few minutes and shut down. A few minutes later same cycle pattern. I figured out when in Auto mode it will default to keeping your set temp to within a degree (I think) and constantly go on and off. When switched to AC mode it ran as I would expect and the temp might drift 2 degrees before running, running longer and shutting down. IE what I would expect. I don't know if one is more efficient than the other but I found Auto mode pretty annoying.

@Browner193 ай бұрын
Or it's kinked
@rickalders3 ай бұрын
The vinyl line was obviously kinked to the point it was affecting flow from the pump. That’s why the old pump burned out, too. When it runs that long and with that little flow, it’s a dead give away. A good pump and clear line would shoot condensate several feet out the line. You’ll be back to warranty this pump before too long, no doubt.

He said he was checking for the high-pressure limit switch to open. He later discovered the pump wasn't working, which likely led to the short-cycling as the drain continually overflowed. My concern is that the line is still obstructed, and the new pump may fry before the algae tablet can clear the obstruction.
