Keep up the good work! Tradecraft and doing it right builds a business. Word of mouth opportunities will build. People are begging for someone to do things right. Yes, there are some that don't care, but you are doing the right thing.

Those tstat bulbs usually come with a note telling you to relocate to the intake side of the coil. I see that overlooked often. Especially on walk-in boxes.

Put the digital thermostat in the condenser section and use a relay or contactor for the condenser. Those digital stats cant handle the load like the mechanical stat.

Good job Jumper, I would have run door switches and power all the time for the lights, instead of power from the fans, good job regardless.
@JumpermanTech9 ай бұрын
Thank you! These lights are powered all the time as the evaporator fans run all the time. I wanted to install door switches so the lights turn on only when the doors open as that would make the lights last a bit longer but they didn't want to pay for that setup. Thanks for watching! 🔧⚡️
@EliasRangel-i2j9 ай бұрын
Great video. Were the lights your recommendation or did someone ask you to install them?

I always use stainless screws in a refrigerator. Health Dept. does not like seeing rust in boxes. Those shelves would be a violation. Fan blades are different rotation. Were they all pulling air thru the coil?

Hey great video. Do you have a link for those lights. That connection is awesome. Does it have an external driver. I did not see one in the video.

The red wire coming back from the tstat is called a switch (or switched) wire. Also, the cords from the OEM in the cooler are line cords. (Even though they are the same style, they are not extension cords. They are perfectly safe, if not physically damaged and made with the correct insulation and outer cover.) An extension cord has both male and female ends. So the orange one is not, but would be called a pigtail. Great job and nice clean up on the electrical.

6:50 Broooo did they not even connect earth? Just why. It's one wire nut. One single wire nut. 2 minutes of work if they are slow. Then they just go home like the job's done and sleep just fine leaving that lethal piece of shit behind in a wet, badly lit kitchen. The audacity... I an really glad you got in there balls deep to fix that up and not someone else because that could have actually cost a life in the long run. One wire gets loose, touches the ungrounded frame, no GFCI either and a barista is gone forever.

Ngl the plastic fan covers are a downgrade. I will agree they look better, but knowing how bars operate, they're more likely to get broken as the bartenders go in and out with all their drinks through the night.
