The Power Pak is the workhorse of the beer dispensing system, playing a vital role in maintaining a constant temperature from keg to tap to ensure a consistent pour. Power Paks come in a variety of sizes to allow perfect matching with any system.
This draft beer system power pak is NSF listed for safety, and it is UL listed in the United States and Canada.
The 4410 is the Century series air-cooled 1/2 HP draft beer system power pak from Perlick with 100 GPH circulating pump and a 1 3/4 gallon capacity glycol bath in a stainless steel cabinet.
There is a constant pressure expansion valve on this draft beer system power pak and it has adjustable electronic temperature control with a digital readout.
There is a self-contained refrigeration system in this draft beer system power pak that operates with R134a refrigerant.
The 4410 draft beer system power pak is an electric unit that runs at 120 Volts, 60 Hertz, 1-phase, and 15.7 Amps for 1/2 HP and hardwiring is required.

When I worked for Coke we used those motors. Marathon makes some decent replacements and in dual voltage setups. Pump and motor are 2 separate units. Look for signs of wear on the key on the pump. Pretty simple setups.

I worked for a beverage company for many years and have worked on a few of these. You can pull the pump off the motor. Usually pump seizes up causing motor to overheat. Once you seperate the two by unscrewing the clamp you can spin the motor by hand and see if its good or bad and do the same with the pump. If you need to replace the pump you can use pinch offs for the glycol lines and not have to drain system or make a mess.

The pump is what goes bad on those units, it binds the motor and pump and motor go bad, the pump is an impeller that connects on the end of the motor, The motor probably doesn't have a capacitor and is split phase motor, doesn't need capacitor because of it not having a heavy load. Pump could be bound up. Shouldn't have to disconnect lines from pump if motor is bad. Look for Allen key to disconnect motor from pump.

👍💪❄️🇺🇸 when I work on glycol units because beer is pouring warm I check pump/motor assembly because in most cases that's the issue it's not circulating the glycol. If temp of glycol bath is at temp it's most likely pump/motor if glycol temp is high mid 30s n higher it's refrigeration issue. Glycometer is good to have if u work on glycol units. Nice job for first time. Most glycol calls on beer systems will b pump/motor issue.

🇺🇸❄️💪👍 also make sure u turn off the compressor when the pump/motor assembly is down. That's like ur evaporator fans n with no glycol circulating unit will freeze up.

I service these daily. You don't want the temp any lower especially if the tower is full of domestic piss which is mostly water and will freeze in the line. 35-40 is a safe range.

I would check voltage & amperage before it grounds out if it’s hot bro They’re pretty simple you run them between 28-31°f.

Next time remove the motor from the pump and see if the motor runs. This happen to me before and I quoted the motor and I found out it was the pump or impeller.
