Sometimes I get legitimately depressed about how I see modern companies run, but whenever you post a video it reminds me that there are still good company owners out there. I wish you luck in this hectic world.

I don't know if the customer appreciates you cleaning up that area (or if they're even aware that you did). But I appreciate that you cleaned up that area. I would've done the same thing (and I have). Not only does the industry need more techs, it needs more techs like you who understand the importance of being thorough not only with diagnosis, but with keeping things neat and organized. These units are in crappy places to begin with! You really need to fight with someone else's mess on top of that!? No! Thank You for what you do! Love your channel!😁😎✌🏻✌🏻

Not sure if your aware but there is a plastic insert you can use for your hats that makes them into bump caps. I was fortunate to be wearing one when I wacked my head on a low beam. Still hurt but prevented a possible concussion. Great vid and thank you for cleaning up. It something that will make you stand out from the competition.

The other day a guy should help me to repair a milling machine. The faulty part had been in an arkward place. So that guy creeped inside the processing room and I climbed into the mechanical cabinet. After two hours of wrenching that guy stood up fast without looking and hit his head at the tools in the tool magazine. Man that was bloody! He had to be brought to hospital.😬

Every time you put probes on hold the probe straight don’t let it turn when you tighten the nut, you won’t ruin the gasket. You can mess the gasket up putting it on one time. You get close to zero loss with a new gasket on those probes!

Those are 10k NTC thermistor probes, just ohm them out and compare to chart to be sure next time. Also, those controllers can have a delay on the display readout programmed in to not show you the true temperature in real time. When I know there is a big temp swing I just cycle the power to the controller and then when it restarts it usually will display the correct temperature unless you actually do have a bad controller/probe.

Maybe the manufacturers should use a double pole switch for the pump(s) and put the other pole in series with the compressor so turning off the pump(s) also shuts down the compressor?? Someone may know why they don't. Good on you for cleaning up the mess!

The last video I watched, just moments ago, was full of that exact phrase from the Just Rolled In channel. 😆 1:14 - I'm not an HVAC or Beverage Guy, and it doesn't make sense to me either. Nice of you to clean up Other Guy's mess. Even if the customer never knows, or even cares, YOU know you're leaving the site with your integrity and reputation intact - Next Guy can't blame you for the mess.

I was in this crawl space that someone didn't bother clearing the lot before building a house on it, and there was foliage all over the place(dried grass, dead weeds, etc). One of the stems whacked me in my jimmy beans and had a knee jerk reaction to jump up and slam my head into a wood flooring brad that were riddled all over the place. It had to hit skull bone and I sat there leaned my head over after I felt blood running through my hair just to keep it out of my face, let it pool up in the sand and dried grass in a big puddle for about 10 minutes. The guys were wondering what I was doing and kept yelling into the crawl space access "Are you fiddling with yourself down there" waiting for me to finish my job of running some romex to a kitchen. I kept telling them to "F*** off" and "leave me alone a***holes" until they stopped bothering me. It left a nice scab buried in the hair on my head.

As a videomaker I recommend (also to increase both the quantity of videos and the length of the individual clips in the field without bothering you to hold the camera in your hand) to wear an action cam for general shots where macros are not needed and continue to use the quality of the smartphone for details. I also recommend using for all clips/shooting devices 1080p/FHD with 60FPS mode for smooth, quality videos... P.S.: remember to clean your lenses/objectives before recording! Keep going, your character and your format as you put it is very entertaining and above all it is TRUE and not artificial! A hug!

Where I live (east coast), the beverage company provides the equipment and they have their guys work on it. Their techs are certified in refrigeration and know how to service the entire glycol unit. They even do the electrical work on it too. The only time they require an electrician is if they need a new circuit or if the breaker went bad.

I know nothing is made anywhere nearly as well as stuff that is truly old, but is brand new stuff actually as good as even something from only say 20 years ago? It just seems like once you replace something old, you’ve jumped on the replacement treadmill. Commercial equipment has got to be at least somewhat better than the stuff that is foisted upon residential property owners though.

Are there racks out there using refrigerant to cool the glycol? There’s a refrigeration rack in my area for a Walmart but it’s listed as a 404a/glycol rack. I’m curious on how that works. I assume glycol is being pumped into the cases but seeing that 404a listed confused me.
@chrisconklin873
@chrisconklin873 6 ай бұрын
They work the same except the glycol and refrigerant run through the flat plate heat exchanger instead of sitting in a glycol bath. pumps then send the glycol out to the cases, boxes, AHUs, etc.

You seem to work on these a decent amount.....have you ever considered getting a refractometer to test the glycol....not sure if that is something you deal with or are concerned with. I have a refractometer.....i also...at least when i lived in Buffalo.....dealt with glycol on a very consistent basis. Just curious as to your thoughts. Glycol can and will "go bad" after time.
