I guess your popularity and revenue has gotten to you. You're more long winded than before and I swear if i hear "big picture" one more time my liver will fail from taking shots with every mention. We get it. Look at the system as a whole not just component level. We get it, there's a bunch of things you'd like to do on the customers dime to satisfy your OCD and we also get customers don't give a crap. Your commentary has gotten stale but at least you can plug your sponsors and merchandise. Sucks that you sold out. Oh well c'est la vie

Just one constructive critique: you could have clean the dirt out of where the compressors are. I mean, Just hose down slowly to the drilled holes so it looks clean and it does not become dust when it dries and gets caught up again in the coil.

that stuff is usually caked up thick and stiff anyway, once wetted or high humidity/dew it's more or less permanent there, unless disturbed by brushing. so it's really not that big a deal. yes it would look good/fancy for the camera and I could see if there was just a major sand storm that deposited it. as for ash from the fires, that's like a hard blanket once moistened/wetted and i wont go anywhere either.

Hey Chris! How's it going? I may be the only person but I love being out in a storm. I dont mind the chaos. I also don't know how many Mini splits you install but There is always 2 terminal locations with those captive screws on them that don't get used. I collect these religiously and keep them in one of my parts bins. I hate not having a wire landed especially on fuse or overloads.

HVACR Videos, Chris I hear what you are saying, as a 30+ year Master HVACR tech in the heart of the old west Tucson, Arizona. I have learned and was thought to not only be a problem solver for all my customers be it commercial or residential but to always get them involved in the decisions to solve the problems. Also when explaining it to the customer don't talk down to them. But dumb it down to layman's level and not use industry-standard terms. Let them be a part of the desition making process. I always told the customer "If it was me or in my professional opinion I would recommend this" No one wants to hear "it's F*cked" or "it's a POS" without a solution even if that is a total replacement of the equipment with an explanation as to why. Good Job!

only rain? now factor in the snow, ice and frigid cold or just ask Texas al about that. then again ask any human/state/area/country that's claiming oh it's an out of ordinary hundred+ year storm, which caused major issues, deaths and more, which they claim should have never happened. clearly they didn't pay attention to real science, nature's signs and were too busy pocket padding.

@@ivangoubarevpascual4301 Especially while standing next to/touching METAL EQUIPMENT CABINETS... Grounded Equipment Cabinets AKA Potential Lightning Rods... Granted, the chances of that particular cabinet getting hit is very, very low since there is a LOT of nearby objects that are taller, thus better Lightning Rods (in theory), but the chances are not 0%... NEVER work outside when Lightning strikes are happening less than 10 Miles from your location if you can at all avoid it...Lightning has been PROVEN to hit up to 10 MILES away from it's point of origin in the clouds...

Yes its easy to get slid on operation logic, I assume solenoid valves are power close but I have run into a few that are power open, some what uncommon. When you hotwired the valve I was thinking ? but I have not worked on defrost timers. An NC valve is normally only used when fail closed is needed for safety, for a cooler fail open is better.

I have been doing this for 5 years and never come across an open solenoid being used for refrigeration! Time clock wired in series with Temp Control and Temp Control energizes the Normally closed solenoid on a temperature rise [Solenoid opens then pressure control starts the compressor] ... Can't picture how a N.O. solenoid would work!!! I always use [N.O. solenoids / valves + actuators] for heating applications "When thermostat satisfied then solenoid closes"!

All these open terminals are a huge NoGo for every Cabinet build in the last 20 years, except in the USA seemingly. And this design flaw were the water from cleaning or storms has no way to get out of the unit is so silly, what would be the problem to have a slightly falling slope and a drainhole at one end of these units. Is sensible mechanical construction/engineering something which doesn't exist in the USA? It wouldn't cost anything to mount the bottom a slight slope (except the compressors, the whole mechanical part could be mounted on a risen platform to let the water flow away from electrical/machanical parts) and drill a hole, but you could clean the inside with lots of water with no problem and no hazard.

good question and the answer is yes for most every single detector made. the oil in the gas can contaminate them, as well as water/moisture off the outside of the lines. some are far more sensitive than others, depending on build and actual sensor location (heated type with sensor at the tip are far more critical to contamination) I'm sure he'll explain it far better and simpler than me.
