Thanks man, it shouldn’t because it has an O2 sensor and cat so it should be able to compensate. It runs good but you honestly won’t know until I take it on the dyno

@@SmokinMonkeyOG Just FYI, the o2 sensor only tunes under 20% throttle and under 7000rpm, so it could run lean at full throttle. Dyno will tell ya for sure.

@@SmokinMonkeyOG No worries bro, they are pretty easy to read. Have them do a full throttle dyno, and a 50% pass, and post a pic of the printouts they give ya. It'll have a air/fuel ratio on the print out so you can see if the fuel is leaning out too much.

If anything on the SV, I'd go full system. Arrow makes a header. That's where the power is made, weight is lost, but you'll need an ECU flash or custom PC5 tune. ECU flash solves so much more than a fuel module.

The R77 race spec one actually sounds nicer again. The race spec one is the first slip on I bought, then I bought a big bore stubby from SP Engineering and now I have just bought a Hotbodies carbon fiber MGP II Growler which I am high mounting.

Thanks bro! Side mirrors are billet aluminum mirrors off Amazon. Not sure the brand but they fit on easy, long as you use the internals from your original bar end weights. It’s super simple once you have them both out in front of you. You’ll know what I mean. Mirrors were like $30 should be a link in the description of the video.

I bought a Yoshi R77 titanium for my 2017 SV. It had a nice blue tinge to it and it looked great. Although there wasn't a great difference in performance, i felt it ran a little smoother on and off the throttle and maybe gave a touch more torque. I think maybe the pipes for the Asia market [i'm in Thailand] are louder than in the west. Anyway, i had to get rid of it cos the cops were making trouble over the noise. I have the original Suzuki pipe back on now and i'm happy with that, kind of had enough of the noise in my ear and fear of the cops.

I had an R77 on my last bike and it was pretty loud but I don’t know if the Alpha I have now is any louder. I don’t know about Asian market but I’m sure you guys get the better versions of whatever we get here since it’s a Japanese bike

Thanks! I did my best to get good audio lol its not easy going at speed with the exhaust behind you lol I want to try to get my hands on the decat pipe eventually and see if i can get some flames going! just dont have a timeframe as of yet but ill keep updates coming in my vlogs .

Hi Mike. It would be too much to ask you to tell me what diameter is the input of the link pipe in the slip on? in the multiple it is 38mm. I already measured it. I need to know in the slip on! since I am adapting a yoshi alpha from a kawa z800 on the sv and it measures 58cm that of the Z800. I need to know if both slip on (sv650 vs z800) are the same. thank you

@@SmokinMonkeyOG There is still the 1250 Bandit. I owned a 1996 GSF 600 Bandit. Loved that bike. Put a Holeshot pipe on it....sounded great. But the SV does have much more low end grunt than the 600 Bandit. It is ashame that no one really makes a 600 sport standard anymore.....they have all gone the twin route. But Honda does have the CB650R and Suzuki does have their GSX-S750, both $1500 more than the SV650/z650/MT07. Sold my 10 year of er6n (z650) recently in preparing for a move down to Florida. I plan on getting an SV650 once I finish my move. Nice bike!

Even without the silencer it doesn't seem to sound too loud, is that the case? Just put a Scorpion exhaust on my Ninja 650 and it's loud enough even with the silencer in that it gets on my nerves (don't think it's that loud for others, just for me on the bike). Planning on getting an SV650 down the line is why I'm asking, had an older SV with a Scorpion slip-on that sounded great but not too loud, so I'm kinda searching for the same thing, something that sounds great but isn't too loud.

It’s pretty loud to be honest but with the silencer I can’t say I’ve never had it in. At first it seemed a bit too loud but I’d say it’s about perfect now. When in traffic you can hear it but it’s not as loud as some cars I drive beside that have exhaust. Hope that helps lol

If you respect the bike and you’re not stupid and going to try to go as fast as you can when you take it out then you should be okay but it takes a lot of self discipline. It has a lot of power so you can get into trouble pretty quick if you don’t know what you’re doing.

No there was no gasket just a clamp

@@SmokinMonkeyOG I just did this install and tried to use your video but a couple points that I did not get because you fast forwarded the video. First, the lower pipe clamp leaks water 💧 when I turn it on and open up the throttle (while parked in the garage). Second, was installing the rubber on the exhaust mounting bracket (figured it out). After the complete install I now get some loose metal vibration sound and like I mentioned before moisture (water 💧) leaking from the lower clamp. Any insight on why that's happening?

The sounds and water could be the same issue. Check to make sure the pipe is far enough into the end of the cat/exhaust and then if it is tighten the clamp with a wrench or ratchet or something to get it nice and tight. If it still leaks you might need exhaust sealer. Sometimes it just doesn’t want to seal on its own with friction and you need to get the sealer. If you still have the noise then remove the clamp that holds the pipe to side of the bike and re adjust it to make sure it’s sitting flush and doesn’t have any space between the pipe and the clamp. But it seems both issues are because it’s not tightened properly
