This set is so sick! I'm feeling far away from this world through your sounds❤ Your music always killin' it🫶🏻

Thanks my friend! Been leaning toward more progressive and minimal techno vibe lately. Now I have to sort out the next releases XD. Have a lovely Tuesday mate

This is a delight my friend! Great jam, you really have this setup locked down, I feel like you could perform for a full day and it wouldn't get repetitive :) Smooth and pleasant. And again this smokey construction site look does work for the aesthetic 😅

Yeah this "smokey construction site" was fun while it latest haha! I still have 2 days of dealing with the bathroom and then I should be on the other side of the renovations :D Almost there! Glad you enjoyed this little session my friend!

@@castl_dk Doing good, I have been learning a lot about the Key 37 and putting out some good content. I am about to head to Florida tomorrow and I am hoping to get some great videos. I signed up for the beta test of the new 3.0 software so hopefully I will get a chance to play around with that. Have an amazing day my friend 😁 loving the minimal vibes

I have a Syntakt and the J-6 and S-1 and I am soooooo tempted to add a Torso t-1 to my setup, but I’m not sure I will get along with the Torso. Unfortunately it is just a bit too expensive for an impulse buy. Do you think it really adds to your workflow or would you easily be able to perform relatively the same without the t-1?
@hexwavemusic5 ай бұрын
I'll jump in here, the T1 absolutely lets you do a lot of stuff you can't do otherwise. You can quickly wrangle all your machines on one sequencer and morph and shift the pattern on the fly. Once you get used to it and learn it (it has a bit of a curve), there's nothing really like it. However, I will say it does make creating specific melodies more difficult. You can do it, but if you want to make your sequences entirely on the T1, it takes a long time vs on an Elektron. The T1 excels in quick, generative, shifting, morphable patterns. You just have to be okay with no screen at all and remembering what the colors of the squares mean in certain scenarios. Atlas Castle has had a lot more experience than me (I did sell mine with a gear shift but miss it!) so I'm sure he can give some more insights :)

@@hexwavemusic Thanks for the elaborate reply. The part of using it for generative, morphable patterns sounds right up my alley. I’m not necessarily interested in creating specific melodies, instead I like my jams to evolve over time. Therefore the t-1 sounds really interesting.

I have the same set up as you! The torso totally opened up my ability to jam coherently. The big secret to not getting totally same results every time is definitely to make sure you are making different decisions and changing up inspo. I was in a rut for a while with it before I realized I needed to just start twisting knobs and pushing myself through options that sounded bad!

Hi @stofbug, thanks for taking time to listen and reaching out! I can see that @hexwavemusic and @tylerstup9510 already got you covered with relevant points. I do agree with them. I really see the T1 as a full capable instrument, not just a controller. It's a powerful instrument and main sequencer since you are into generative, morphable patterns sounds. Feel so welcome to reach out again if you have further questions.

@@castl_dk Thanks, I will do. Let’s hope Santa has budget for a nice t-1 😄
