The "教学收音机" on the front means, "teaching radio" or "educational radio". As these kits are often used in schools in China, to teach electronics to students.

Those are crappy little kits, but well worth the buy for spare parts. I bought two of them. They'll make share IF, and audio transformers for good flea market finds.
