Give me a clean room (dated or not), & everything else is secondary. Not a bad room! ✌️

Another excellent and informative review, Chris. I totally agree it’s a very convenient Hotel/location, at a reasonable price, for the business travelers and those with layovers, but not so interesting for people on vacation and interested in sightseeing. P.S. Where is Topher?!
@YellowProductions9 ай бұрын
Yeah. Topher didn't make it on this trip.. he was staying safe at home 😀

Hi Chris! Thank you for this great review! I have stayed here many times from when they first opened and up to and including a few months ago. I generally stay here if I am flying OUT of LAX. I always schedule a LYFT for my early morning departure so I don't have to deal with traffic. I had an Amazing suite here a few months back! HUGE and it had an interesting dressing area and the most massive bathroom I have ever had at a HP. The view was of the train across the street so I couldn't complain. Loved it. CAB😊

Was there in 2022. Only a short drive to Randy's Donuts. Must visit donut shop! A classic.

The one thing I don't like about most close to LAX hotels is that there is usually nothing within walking distance (especially pricey restaurants for dinner), and if there is, it is an area where you really don't feel safe walking anyway. I know you can always order food to be delivered (which my teen girls did when we stayed at the Hilton on Century Blvd), but I prefer to be able to walk somewhere and get out of the hotel. On the other hand, we usually only stay near the airport the night before flying out, so that is usually not a big deal.

Every time I’m staying at the Hyatt Regency LAX, my go-to-place is In n Out Burger for some cheeseburgers and planespotting.

Pretty sure I stayed there once. VERY convenient to the airport! Probably one night after arrival and/or before departure.

Could you possibly do a review of the Hermosa Hotel? I am considering staying there. Thanks!
@YellowProductions9 ай бұрын
Hi Karen. Thanks for the suggestion... I likely won't be staying in Hermosa Beach anytime soon as its a pretty short day trip for us.

A couple weeks ago I made the mistake of travelling to Lax, and the second mistake of travelling during the Lunar New Year and the Superbowl weekend (plus Valentines the following week but that's why I was there), and the third mistake of only booking a 2.5 layover... so needless to say the queue for seeing the immigration was massive, I was stuck behind the great wall of fellow sad disgruntled passengers, and by the time I got to the luggage claim to recheck my luggage (great system by the way) my domestic flight was already leaving . I suppose I'm a little upset at the US because coming back to Heathrow, it took me less than 20 seconds to get through immigration via the automated passport gate, yes I'm a UK citizen but you Americans would be just as privileged as me, and if you're flying business class or had children you could go to the priority lane (for non e-passport countries). A bunch of families with obviously stressed kids got stuck behind and in front of me and had to suffer just as much. But no, no, in the capitalistic hellscape it's $100 and an interview to have a modicum of the modernity us Euros might take for granted.
