I can't believe that tiny little spring stops the nitro from working It's amazing

yup, this is pretty common actually. That pin (called the starting pin) needs to be able to move in/out and make contact with the grove in the starting shaft. This probably happened because the engine has not been run in over a year and the oils just thickened up and caused the pin the seize itself closed.

@@hybrid32494 Glad you figured it out when you were talking about it I'm like everything looks perfectly fine and then you're like that pen supposed to be sticking out to grab the backplate and when you showed it I'm like oh that makes sense

We had our Savages out all weekend. My original .21 and this gen 1 X 4.6! There's nothing like them. The new V2's that just came out aren't built the same, sadly.

10:50 yes we say petrol not gas. Gas is reserved for taxis that used to use LPG. Petrol is short for petroleum. Unsure why USA says gas. It’s clearly a liquid. Also for RC we don’t actually say petrol. We say 2Stroke.

I don’t think it is always spinning that shaft when engine is on, because this pin with the spring engages only when you use the drill, because when the engine is on , the pin will go in an out in this path of the back plate, so basically this pin and the spring move in an out as many times as the rpms of the engine

Hey I have a question for you because I think you have tried both? We got a new race track here in ND for racing. I know you’re not a racer but Wednesday I am buying either a Kyosho mp10 or the Serpent SRX8 which one did you think handled better?

Happy to hear that man! BE sure to look for the savage X4.6 model, or the Savage 25. I'd avoid the savage 21, it's pretty slow.
