Very informative Mr Jackson. Ive gone to mass in the church.I would have enjoyed some history on convent and school that was part of church.

Is the Benton farmhouse mentioned at 51:00 missing a top floor? That square bit on the left front side looks weird. Thanks for taking me along on this trip. These buildings are beautiful.

Thanks so much for watching and the comment. I think that is just the chimney that is on the side there. That's how they used to make them- on one of the sides.

The side building actually had a flounder roof originally, and sloped off the side of the main part of the house.

Great video! You and Nathan make a good team! I need to find msyelf a Hyde Park lager shirt! Taking the bus to school in the 90s (Enright Middle, Visitation Park area), I could still see many Hyde Park ads on painted on bars' exterior walls, etc. Those ads must have been 50 years old at that point. I wonder if any have survived.

Thanks for watching and the nice comment. I saw a painting/mural/advertisement actually at the History Museum in the sports section next to a Falstaff one. I thought it was interesting.

@organstl Yes, I do like the video, but the house I lived in didn't have fireplaces in the house at all , 1913, Newhouse in North St. Louis in Hdye Park , my mom, and I moved out of there when I was 17.

A city destroyed by corporate greed and white flight. I lived there for 7 years. Every year it got worse. Just a hollow shell of a city now.
