Thank you for your videos. This one was particularly enjoyable. I'm in Australia, so I'm always having to work out the months, when you say August that's February for me. I have a few mop head hydrangea cuttings and one layered Annabelle going right now - beginning of summer here. I followed your advise and fingers crossed 🤞. Thanks again

Thank you for all your tips. Is it possible to transplant some of my hydrangeas that got established a year ago?
@KellyLehman5 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely but I would wait until fall to do it and make sure you have at least 6 weeks before the ground freezes

Your hydrangeas always looks so beautiful and healthy…I need help with my rose bush, the flowers are very small with small hairy looking leaves that looks abnormal. I have no idea what’s wrong with them. Any suggestions on how to take care of this issue.I was thinking that I should remove them and plant new rose bushes…I need help.

I would make sure to prune them back and in spring apply a rose care product that fights rose diseases and pests . Here is a product I like that does the trick ➡️ amzn.to/3t1UHrD Here is some pruning advice from better homes and gardens Plan to give your roses a good pruning at least once a year. For once-blooming rose varieties, wait until early summer to prune them just after they've bloomed. They can be shaped up a little more in late summer, but beyond that, pruning healthy stems (also called canes) will reduce the number of blooms you get next year. For most other types of roses, the best time to prune them is in late winter or spring, right after your last frost date. You'll want to track your local weather forecast because late frosts can vary by weeks or even months from year to year. Though it's not something to stress over, optimal timing will help prevent injury to your plants and save you from having to prune out new cold damage repeatedly. @@KellyLehman thanks so much for responding to my text. I found out that it’s rose disease so I’m going to try the product you recommended. Again thank you!

Kelly: I’d be interested to know if you ever use Mychorrizae Fungi powders? Perhaps that IS what you’re rooting compound is?

We are in zone 6 and we have strawberry vanilla, a fire light. And a pinky winky. Someone told me to wait till the end of may to dead head them. They start to turn colors pretty early but they never get to the color before they just start turning brown. Will that help with them blooming later?

Hi Kelly! Much love from your friends in Delaware. My mom and I love your videos so much and this was our absolute favorite. I do have a question for you, though, because there is not much information on the Internet, and certainly from the garden centers. I bought five Bloom struck hydrangeas when they were on sale at Lowe’s at the end of the season, but was too late putting them in the ground. I have re-potted them in larger pots outside and will leave outside over the winter. I hope they will be OK. My question is, should I cut them back? I believe Bloomstruck hydrangeas are the newer varieties that bloom on new wood? I can’t seem to find a definitive answer whether it’s OK to cut them back or whether I should leave them as is? Thank you for your help. You are amazing. 💜

Hi Robyn and Robyn’s Mom👋👋❤️ Oh so happy to read that you found the videos helpful . That’s so wonderful . You don’t need to prune back your Bloomstruck hydrangea at all . Theses hydrangea flowers will come in on both old wood and new growth like an Endless Summer Hydrangea . If you are overwintering them in pots , consider bringing them to a covered porch or garage. Thank you for letting me know you liked this longer version of video . I will created more like these because of comments like yours👍👍🌸💃💃🤗

I have never covered my hydraneas.... im in north eatern md. Would i get more blooms?
@KellyLehman7 ай бұрын
I don't cover mine every year . Only some years . I think it's a good idea to do it if there is a strong cold spell in spring and your mopheads have lots of new young buds . The covering will protect them from freezing off . The paniculatas like limelight and smooth hydrangeas like annabelle do not need to be covered since they come in on new growth in spring .
