Im loving your garden so much this year. I made my husband watch your video where you set up your pots with geraniums and calls lilies. Oh my gurl he is taking me shopping tomorrow tomorrow to buy new concrete containers at a supply house in South Windsor CT and then im stopping at my local garden shop to buy those exact flowers. The verbenna will grow big and overtake that whole pot even into summer and fall if you leave them. Here in my zone they are perennial and in summer they need more water ,but they bloom like crazy when taking care of and they love sun to part shade... I would let them do their full cycle.

You can let the spring containers stay a little longer. However, if your summer components are ready to be planted, you can extend the life of the older flowers by creating smaller arrangements. Also, I love ""Hydrangea Avenue" in your yard.

Well I vote to pull...you don’t want to miss getting summer annuals in and potentially not having them in stock. It’s better to get them planted before we get blasted with heat. Maybe put the verbena somewhere else that’s a shady cool spot🤷‍♀️ I’m trying to get all my beds planted up before it’s hot as heck here in Tennessee. This old woman only works in the morning or evening during summer, I can’t take the heat anymore 😊

Fertilizer, water and give them morning sun and they will bounce back.. you will get blooms a little later from the damage but you will get a show!!!!

For some reason, much to my delight, I had a whole bunch of volunteer Violas. I did not plant them in the ground, as I only put them in containers, so have no idea what happened. I actually dug some up and put them in containers as I ran out of flowers for my pots.

Thank you! I use pine bark mulch! I went with the trees in container areas to bring in the formal feel in the area! Also because my space is so small I always will go with the option to go higher if I can! You will save money going with the bushes over the trees! I also feel like you can't go wrong woth choosing either! Hope that helps
