before this video i had never heard of flame treatment. on that note i have been dipping 3d printed parts for a long time. i cant say i did it "right" but it worked. always did a few coats of automotive primer and paint first.

When applying the base coat how do you preserve the serial number on the frame of the handgun

On the subject of painting plastics have you ever hydro dipped the inside of a clear rc car body being lexan and if so what kind of prep would you suggest to keep a nice finish to see through the body

No, I do not do RC bodies.

Youre still using primer, so it seems like this resin uv process just replaces 3-4 primer sanding sessions saving you just a little time is that correct? I dont have resin or a uv box is it worth getting for quality or time saved or should i just stick to primer and sanding?

Hiya fella, so would I have to flame prep a 3fd Gen Camaro centre console before priming, or any plastics on the car?? 👍

Only way to know is to test it, which I have a video on that covers everything you ever wanted to know about flame treating plastics. Or you can do like I do and flame treat everything.

Your common about primers not 100% true some are different main from my finding etch primes seem to work better on metals as I’ve had less issues with the dip wearing off with etch on metal. Etch contains some cems that are slightly corrosive and make a bond with the metal and i think this is why Ive had better luck with it on metal parts. idk if anyone else has experienced this or if its just a placebo ?

Etch primers are different than regular primer. I didn't say anything about etch primer because that is a whole different area and different application.
