Most of the time we make sure to check the film to see if there is any defects in the film like we did in the video. If you can visually see any then of course scrap the film but if you cant, then make sure you dip it right and you should be fine as long as its activated right.

Yes that is the only thing that you can put over the part to make it look like it has a tint or a hue of a different color. You can also put metallic flake over the print as well but that will somewhat cover up the print instead of tinting it.

@LiquidConceptsUSA4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the following! To answer your question on the red, you need to mix up a candy and not a paint. A candy is a translucent "Dye" that you add to a binder or inter-coat clear that will tint the color of an item but not fully paint it.

@@LiquidConceptsUSA I was asking because I am currently making an illustration using water soluble polymers that I've added color to using water soluble pigment. From what i know, hydro dipping also uses water soluble polymers to hold the pattern. Since i've made my own polymer, colors and a technique to paint with them I was asking you if you can make your own patterns since I want to learn how to do it. Afterall, in my case it's not that much of a leap. I can figure it out on my own but if you show how it's done I'll watch the video. If not, like I said, I'll figure it out myself. I'm an artist/scientist.

How did it go from the normal carbon fibre look to candy?
@LiquidConceptsUSA3 жыл бұрын
After the carbon fiber dip, we applied a red candy over the top to give it a fully unique look.
@LiquidConceptsUSA3 жыл бұрын
After the carbon fiber is applied we sprayed a red candy over the top prior to applying the clear coat. You do need to use a silver metallic base prior to the dip if you want to apply a candy over the top.
@thundertiger763 жыл бұрын
@@LiquidConceptsUSA I have never used candy paints before either. By putting paint over it I would have thought it would blank out the graphics completely?
@LiquidConceptsUSA3 жыл бұрын
@@thundertiger76 You lay down the silver base first, then dip the item, apply the candy, and then clear coat. The candy is not a solid therefore it does not cover the print.

Love's been for things like the first morning crap (love how that came out) to loving breakfast, love how you got to work fast, to, love how i got off work early today, to, everything these days. Wellbe needing a new language soon. True love has no meaning, dont even know what it means. Requires a verb, a noun, and the preticit, a receiver of ones expressed love! Can not love an object period, unless your that narcissistic and arent even aware of it. Or maybe im too old?

Because of the way the carbon fiber started to warp and show those spots like it did, there is nothing that we would want to dip in that print because the carbon would have waves and it wont look correct. Even though we "Wasted" the film, we actually saved money because we didnt dip it and then it came out bad and then we would have more time, labor, paint costs, etc. for trying to repaint it to get it back to where it was originally.
