Wow!! These are the best results I've seen so far, and while I probably haven't seen every polish dipping vid out there this evening, I have seen a couple. The one I saw before yours reminded me to paint my bottle first (I dipped a small clear plastic bottle) and you reminded me to take a stick and swipe away the polish that hadn't adhered to the bottle. So... maybe NOW I got this? Nah, maybe tomorrow I got this. Can't start dippin' at nearly 10:30 at night, now can I? Thanks bunches from the southern California desert, MK. ♥️☀️🌵. P.S. Oh my goodness, thanks so much for saying that! 🥰🤗 I haven't done nail polish dipping in ages. But these are still holding together so I must've done something right! Though, thanks for the paint first tip. That would make things go much smoother, esp with plastic. And now you must report back how it goes when you try this again! How did the plastic bottle turn out? One of the best things about polish is you can easily remove it if things don't turn out how you want (on glass), so it's fun to experiment. Ah, thanks for weighing in, the pixie happened. Not pink yet but yeah in this desert environment the less hair on my head the better! Stay cool out there, our summer has only just begun! 😓💕🌵

Love the way these came out - and using up old polish is a good thing! As for the hair, if you're feeling it, you should do it no matter what any of us think! As you say, it is only hair. It will grow again all too soon!

I didn't seal mine because I wasn't concerned about them lasting a long time or getting actual use. Nail polish on a slick surface like glass will flake away with time. If you want them to last they should be sealed. Either way, these are decorative only.

Can you tell me if you use luke warm water or cool water? After I pour the nail polish in and try to move it around, it seems dry and won't swirl.

I usually use room temperature water. You do have to work somewhat quickly and also watch the thickness of the polish. It's a tricky process sometimes to get it just right. Keep practicing, you'll get it!

Can I use gel polish to hydro dip some plastic storage containers?

Do I need to spray first? Or can I dip and then bake in the oven to seal the polish??

Don't bake these in the oven. Not a good idea for many reasons - polish fumes, potential for the glass to shatter - to name a couple.

These look great. Pink pixie - meh. Pixie ok, not so on board with the pink. If you don't like it though you can always dye it another color.

So glad you like them, me too! Thanks! Okay, 3 votes yes for pixie, 1 vote meh for pink. But that's what I'm thinking - dye it again, or cut it off. It's just hair, nothing's permanent 🤷‍♀️
