The 40oz Hydro Flasks are on sale right now for $29.99 , so I picked up 3. I was trying to decide between Stanley and Hydroflask. One one hand Stanley has been around FOREVER, but I just can't get over the fact they are still using lead in their seals. I get that it's very unlikely to be an issue, but WHY in 2024 when we have better options is that something they can't handle? Anyway yeah, team HydroFlask for me.

why 3 though? these cups are meant to be a sustainable option opposed to plastic bottles.

The title said “FULL” comparison, but you didn’t compare the build quality, or their weight, or the insulation performance, or how well they fit in a cup holder, or the spill, or how easy/difficult to clean, or anything practical that an actual user cares. Thank you for wasting my time.

I dont know about carrying these around however for at home use it looks nice personally i like the hybro flask straw much more and the lid minimalistic design. I have two wide mouth hydroflasks that i love very much sometimes i dont use them cause certain drinks can get messy so i see the straw as useful in situations like these. I wish it somehow incorporated the top handle for easier carrying. I dont carry around my hydroflasks i put them inside my back pack and so far have had no spilling. Do these cups spill easily?

I just bought a Hydroflask 40oz Tumbler. BPA free was the big selling point for me. I was able to customize the color and they even engraved it for me. Stanley uses LEAD to seal their double wall insulation. A lot of people are going to switch away from Stanley because of that.
@magnoliamegan11 ай бұрын
I love that the Hydroflask is BPA free! And I heard about that with Stanley. I think lots of people will be looking for other options of tumblers, I’m glad there are other great options!

"Please rest assured that no lead is present on the surface of any Stanley product that comes in contact with you or the contents of your container," Stanley International said in a statement to USA TODAY. "Every Stanley product meets all U.S. regulatory requirements, including California Proposition 65, which requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about heavy metal and chemical exposure."
@papabearpapaboo11 ай бұрын
@@Josh-cv9jx if that seal is damaged in any way, you are at risk of lead exposure. Hydroflask is BPA free during their sealing process.

I kinda want a hydroflask for the bendy straw but I hear the lid pops right off pretty easily when the tumbler falls over. Is this true?
@magnoliamegan10 ай бұрын
@@helldork I haven’t had any issues with it popping off and i personally love the bendy straw!

I am curious about the leak/spillage factor of the lids. How do you clean the straws and is there a difference?
@magnoliamegan11 ай бұрын
I’ve noticed that the leakage of the hydro flask is lower when just carrying it around etc because it’s sealed tighter and the straw is centered, but obviously wouldn’t work if tipped upside down! Straws are easy in dishwasher and/or using a straw cleaner brush!
@jewelnabq0111 ай бұрын
@@magnoliamegan Thank you for the info. I ended up purchasing the Hydro Flask and am pleased so far. Like another comment stated, the BPA and lead free ended up being the final deciding factors.

@@jewelnabq01 that’s awesome to hear! Glad you like the hydro flask. I have been using mine a lot and love it!
@3arthandsky11 ай бұрын
@magnoliamegan is the spilling coming from the straws or the lids themselves?
@magnoliamegan11 ай бұрын
@@3arthandsky more the straws, for the Stanley there’s also a slider piece on top of the lid so it will leak from that if that makes sense!

Bit worried about the lid not screwing on. I think that a push on lid would be fatal for me as I would most likely drop it, or lay down cor a nap it might leak if it falls flat o to the mattress.
@jadormycc88193 ай бұрын
Not an issue. The hydroflask is more leak proof than my capped Stanley. There is a rubber seal so it doesn’t just pop off.

HydroFlask forever! They are the only company that doesn’t use lead at all while making their products… that was the selling pint for me! Also, the engraving details are 💯

I was concerned about the lead in the Stanley, so I got a 40 oz tumbler in Lupine. So pretty, and lead-free!!! I’m not sure what to do with my two Stanleys. Anyone want to buy one from me?
@magnoliamegan11 ай бұрын
I still have my Stanley’s, and from what I learned I believe as long as the bottom of the Stanley does not get damaged, it is safe from lead exposure. So I make sure mine are okay and still use them, but I do use my hydro flask more now!
