Owala vs. Stanley - What's the deal with Water Bottles?

I've been using the Owala and the Stanley ice flow, and honestly prefer the Stanley. For me, the Stanley is much better quality, and the Owala has this strange seam where my lipstick catches and it just annoys me.

Totally agree - owalas are great because of the cap so you don’t have to worry about spilling

Stanley is for drinking iced drinks in cars and on a desk at work. So casual. While I was in Europe I walked and use narrow-neck bottles all the time. Like it’s my favourite thing ever and it never leaves my side. When I come back to home country however I rarely use it again even though I love it. Stanley cup or other brands with similar shape is a must -have for me now. It depends on lifestyle but watching fans of each brands fighting against each other is funny 😅

La Stanley de moda no es realmente una botella de agua, es un termo más como para café o té ya sea frío o caliente. Pero no la considero una botella de agua como tal. Ahora owala ya tiene un termo tipo el Stanley y Stanley tiene una botella de agua más formal como botella de agua tal cual. Siento que el Stanley de moda es más como para llevar tu frappe de Starbucks o de cualquier cafetería jajajaja

I bought a Stanley the other day because I drive A LOT, and it really works well in the holder and doesn’t rattle like my old cup. Plus the colors are super cute. An owala, even though they are super popular on my campus, couldn’t beat my Stanley or my cheap Target water bottle I use to drink my morning coffee. Plus, I don’t like owala color combos, but that’s just me 🤷‍♀️ Cup trends are so weird to me… just buy what works for you! Mine was a Stanley, but if yours is a cheap or more unheard of brand WHO CARES. It’s a cup.

I randomly saw an Owala water bottle one day in the store (before it was popular). I loved how it looked so I bought it. I love the spout that you drink out of. In my opinion, it’s the best water bottle to get for water. You can drink out of like it’s a straw or you can also use the same part as a spout instead. I guess it all depends on the feeling you get when you drink a specific drink out of a specific cup. I have so many different cups for different type of drinks.

I have the hydro flask for travel. Went to Bahamas with it. Packed it with ice. When everyone else was sweating and dying from The heat.,, I had ice cold water for me and my daughter. It’s a pain to carry a heavy water bottle but I have learned my lesson from dehydration due to childhood drama. The ice kept the entire day. I don’t care about the brand. I do care about how long it keeps my water, the price, and that it is BPA free!

My favorite water bottle is the Burts bees water bottle, idk who they partner w for manufacturing but it's a solid bottle and it's super cute. I've banged it up on camping trips and it still is in really good shape.

When I was younger I remember Stanley was a Walmart brand so when they became popular I was a little baffled. Owala is a slam dunk. Never have I wanted to drink from a water bottle more often than from my owala

I have had my Ocala water bottles for over a year and it’s one of the best water bottles I have ever used and plus even if it’s ugly it has nothing wrong with it other than that in my opinion and it’s cheaper to I think

I only drink water out of mine and I wash it every week or so and I haven’t had any issues with mold. I also find it pretty easy to wash although it does have a few more parts than a hydroflask

my owala i have had for about a few months and it's actually not too hard, just make sure to take out the rubber spillproof item and just give the straw, lid and bottle a good and thorough rinse. If you want to stay extra safe, you could always soak the rubber piece in some hot soapy water and just make sure it's dry before putting it back in.

I disagree that the Owala water bottles are ugly. It's just that for some reason Owala makes lids that don't match the color of the bottle, which does look ugly. Like who wants an orange water bottle with a neon pink and purple lid? But when the whole bottle matches like my 40 oz Shy Marshmallow and Lemon Limeades do, then they look amazing 😍 I wanted the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Harry Potter colors originally but they only come in 32 oz sizes. I think Owala will be the reigning king for quite some time. They really got alot right with so many color combinations and their locking mechanism. They're the Apple of water bottles currently.

Ive had stanleys for about a year now 3 of them in different styles. I have a flip and go one for the no spill option to put in my bag and i love it. I live in the mojave desert so the summers here are brutal and the ice water stays cold for a long time!

❤Thanks for your great commentary. I like the Swell for throwing into a lunch bag or backpack. The triple insulation, narrow mouth, and lid design give it a distinct advantage in keeping drinks cold. And durability is top notch mainly because of the clean design with no moving or dangling parts to snag and break.

I have 1 stanley and I do love it. I am interested in getting 1 Owala though because its sealed. I can't really travel with my Stanley. I 100% agree though, it's best not to have 20 of them but tbh they can be donated or gifted so hopefully they go on to be useful. What people do with their money is none of my business lol people collect the most random stuff.

I got an Owala water bottle last year while Stanley was still the it bottle to buy. And it was before the sip option. Just a sleek black one that looked like a Stanley and I would get asked if it was a real Stanley 😂😂 I do have a Owala sip that I absolutely love!! But no I will not be buying a bunch of them. I’m happy with the one I have 😂 Funny nobody talks much about simply modern water bottles. I had one before I left it somewhere and that’s a great brand as well.

I love how last year b4 Stanley’s and hydro flask and others I had. A OWALA and every one was like why don’t you have a hydroflask why don’t you have a Stanley owala are Cringe like why I have a hydro flask and a Stanley now and I still use olwala still better than any water bottle I like yeti hydroflask and owala and hydra flow are great brands the cheapest one is hydra flow you can fine any kind of cup from hydra flow at like Marshall’s and stores like that but if price dosnt matter owala first then hydra flask then yeti but all are great
