Lucky Hank, starring Bob Odenkirk, premieres March 19 on AMC.
Season Four - Episode One: "Box Cutter"
Episode Description:
Following last season's cliffhanger ending, Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (Aaron Paul) anxiously wait to see what their drug lord boss, Gus (Giancarlo Esposito), will do next. Meanwhile, Skyler (Anna Gunn) desperately searches for clues to Walt's activities, while Hank (Dean Norris) continues his slow, painful rehab.
Episode Overview:
Now that Jesse has done what he needed to do to keep them alive - namely, kill their prospective replacement, chemist Gale Boetticher - back at the lab Walt is being held under guard waiting for their boss, Gus, to make the next move. When Gus’s henchman, Victor, arrives holding Jesse at gunpoint, that’s all Walt needs to see to convince him that Gale is dead. But as Walt wants to get started on their next batch of meth in order to meet their production schedule, Victor insists on doing it himself. Meanwhile, back at the White family house, Skyler is puzzled to find her husband’s car in the driveway. After stashing it nearby to keep Walt Jr. from thinking his dad is back home, Skyler then sets out to find Walt. Lawyer Saul Goodman assures her that Walt is fine, but Skyler uses her wiles to persuade a nervous locksmith to let her inside her husband’s condo to look for clues to his whereabouts.
Having been sidelined by Victor, Walt is content to sit back and watch for any mistakes he might make in cooking up the next batch of drugs. Yet, impressed by Victor’s thoroughness, Walt and Jesse anxiously wait to see what Gus has in store for them now. Making it clear that he holds Gus responsible for Gale’s fate, Walt says that Victor can’t be trusted to run the lab. After hearing Walt’s argument, Gus silently delivers an ominous message of his own by using a box cutter to slit Victor’s throat.
Left to continue running the lab for now, Walt and Jesse enlist Mike in dissolving Victor’s body in a barrel of acid. After disposing of the liquefied remains, Walt and Jesse retire to a nearby diner to discuss what to do next. Finally, after returning to the house to retrieve his car, Walt assures Skyler that everything is fine before heading to his condo, unaware that the investigation into Gale’s murder is about to uncover a lab notebook that could incriminate him and Jesse.

Little known fact, this scene was improvised. @pyropulse That's cool. Hydrofluoric acid doesn't work this way in real life. I don't care what the mafia does or cartel, or anything like that, because that's not what the acid does. It doesn't even hurt your skin that badly. What it does do is break down your bones. I imagine at that point, you could just cook it into a indistinguishable sludge.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what made the inhuman “work” of Santiago “El Pozolero” Meza López a thing of nightmares. He claims to disposing of 300 bodies, yet nobody can be sure of the amount (estimates range between 100 and 650) since the evidence is, for lack of a better word, compromised. No need to look it up, it’s gruesome, he worked for Mexican cartels out of Tijuana.

@Blob reach what? Use one of the forks to lift the body, carry it into the drum (yes, it will fit when you widen the forks) and then tilt the drum it upright by hand because trying with the forks is too risky especially on a poly drum. Doesn't take much to fuck up the lip of the drum to where the lid won't properly seal. Metal drums you can get away with because you can hammer and bend it until the lid fits (the gasket is inside the lid).

Walt would be the one telling Mike "it'll work" instead of Jesse calling back to the tub incident. There's quite a few ways this is deliberately played for comedy, at least before cutting to the barrel full of red-orange sludge.
