Honestly I 've been using them for a long time and never had too much trouble getting them to seal, although I also knew that a seal doesnt matter unless you have a bug problem! Cheerz Tiny

Great vid Gash. Pretty sure I've stuffed up a hydro or 2 due to adding to hot mix. Digging the Little Creatures shirt.

The wife and I travel down there a few times a year. Four nice beer stops all close! I have never bothered with competitions, I will check out the details though and have a think about it. Cheerz

Nice mate. Hit up Buckley's brewry last week. We've got a Healesville mish sorted at the end of the month. I see at the end of March there's the Yarra Valley BeerFest (Homebrew comp) in Coldstream which kinda stuffs up plans but if we can make we will. You submitting anything mate?

Great tip Gash, How accurate do you find your refractometer? I have one that after calibration seems accurate for water and seems accurate for starting gravity but no good for final gravity as a hydrometer reading showed FG at 1.010 the refractometer at 1.025.

Refractometer better for hot wort and unfermented wort, hydrometers better for fermented wort. I'm slack these days and very rarely measure at all to be truthful, well for the extracts, AG and Minis I always just check the hot wort, I don't bother with FG much, unless I think something seems wrong. Saying that I'm only brewing for myself and not competitions etc. Cheers!
