Perfect timing for this video!! Over here across the pond in California, but we're supposed to have a wet winter coming up. Looking to build a hydro greenhouse just like this, and experiment with extended photo period produce with some additional lighting as well. Going to be trying to start a homesteading/day in the life video series about the progress.

Thank you for the update. Rob’s greenhouse looks absolutely amazing. I am wondering if you share how you deal with aphids? I am having endless problems with aphids even though I am growing indoor but your corps look perfect so I am really interested how you deal with pests?
@RobsHydro2 ай бұрын
Aphids haven't been an issue for me, I did see a few on Kale a while back, I introduced lady beetles as a trial and meant to keep doing it just haven't had the need, I don't spray any chemical pesticides all I do spray is Dipel and copper, both a half recommended strengths once a week.

with your greenhouses, I see the roof is plastic and the walls are shade cloth. As you are in QLD do you find it gets too hot for lettuces and other leafy greens. Where do you buy such cost effective plastic that covers such a large area

Can anyone help with my tap water dilemma? The ec is .6 out of the tap and I'm unsure how I'm suppose to utilise my Campbell's diamond white nutrient when the ec is already soo high. Is this a gift or burden? Does this mean I only need to utilise a fraction of Diamond white and still get the same desired results? Any clarification would be hugely appreciated Hooch heads

Same problem. I ended up installing a 1500 rainwater tank. Then a second one (it doesn’t rain much in Perth!). When that ran out I filled the tanks with a RO filter. I bought HydroLogic stealth (not available locally 😢) as the cheap local ones just trickled and were useless.
