Just wanted to make a quick comment on how grateful I am for all your work and kind support. Your videos are so uplifting and inspiring, they get me motivated and creative even when times are tough. Thank you. ❤️ And also thanks for reminding me to take care of myself as well. Am working on downsizing online time (really just focus on content I love - your videos included) and starting to read more.

This video helped me get through some much-needed self-care tasks I’d bee putting off! (I spent too long at the computer working today at least I can say none of it was on the net! Still, I need better routines.) I’m having such a tough time lately. Maybe I’ll go back to your 30 days babysteps. Thanks as always, Diane!

Wonderful vlog!!! I really appreciate you summarizing the books and the films. My daughter and I have been glued to Stranger Things. She did binge watch and she said it was sad at the end. But I’ve been taking it slowly one a week!!! Lol. I don’t want to see the end. But I felt hopeful that you think there will be another season. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. 💕

Thanks for the recommendations. I’m one of your viewers who have got into Elly Griffiths’ books. I agree about Stranger Things - it brings me back to memory lane with the music (I can’t stop singing the “Never Ending Story” song 😂). I have to say, though, that as much as I used to dislike the clothes I actually like some of Nancy’s outfits 😊

Dear Diane! I finally had my AHAH moment!! I watched almost all your videos and finally catch the idea, the switch of thinking!!! In these weeks I was thinking...why I didn't have "joi de vivre" anymore, why I didn't smile anymore, why I wait for vacation so badly...I made everything FlyLady says and I didn't feel...satisfied enough. And yesterday I tried to read a book for 10 minutes in the morning, in a pause, (never ever tried, because it's supposed to work, however, at that time!!!). It was hard, like an addictioned person, I watched the timer continually and I had to read and re-read the words, because...was the first time that I allowed myself to break. Now, I'm crying, because I'm 41, and is the first time that I feel that I can treat me like I always treat everyone, also people that I don't know...everyone deserve relax, kindness, time to recharge, exept me. And now I know, now I catch the point, and ME TIME will be in my morning, afternoon and evening routine and it will be write with a pink and shiny pen. I wish I could thank you better, but I know that you will be happy for my worlds. It's thanks to you if I came here. Patrizia, from Italy

I'm currently reading books by Susan Stoker. She writes fun romances with strong women. My pamper today was a pedicure. I don't use nail polish so I did everything else. This month I've decided to watch all of the musical movies in my collection. I'll start with the sound of music, then Evita, then A Star is Born and I'll see if I want to watch anymore cuz I own more than those. I'm glad to see you more often.

❣️Hi Diane, thank you for sharing and inspirations! Meanwhile I was at the library and started with Elly Griffith, I like the books, after the first one I went immediately back for more about Ruth Galloway. 📚I’ve another book of this monk: 'Things you only see, if you go slowly', like it very much! I bought it in Dutch to improve my language. I always try to take people with me to the library, they have so many treasures for all kind of tastes. I’m so glad to hear you talk about your library😍. Love, Monika❣️

Actually thought of you when we went to see Spiderman because you've mentioned it before. Was wondering if you'd seen it and was all you'd hoped it to be. You could tell the kids they are in charge of dinner one evening because you'll be out at the movies, with YOUR besties. What are you waiting for? Treat yourself. You were so looking forward to it! (Same opinion of endgame, thought I was the only one. Too much of a good thing is still too much. Ditto on Captain Marvel. So happy she was portrayed the way she was. So happy for the the young ladies and girls that have that female model so early in their lives. I would have loved it as a young girl. Would have been my halloween costume for life lol)

Last week, I read my first Elly Griffiths book--Smoke and Mirrors and loved it. 📚 I did binge watch Stranger Things--couldn't resist! 📺 I've been keeping up on my routines even now that I'm babysitting my 5-month-old grandson a couple days a week and am enjoying it so much. 🤱🍼 Enjoy your Friday evening! 🕯🎬🍿🍫❤

Love the Hygge!! Guess what? I have finally found a book series that makes me happy and have enjoyed reading fiction again after 20 years :) I tried to like the gothic crime novel (The Corset) but it wasn't for me. It was available at one of our library branches here and I almost retrieved it. But, I guess I just cannot handle the dark and gritty stuff. (I am a Mary Poppins girl:) Anyway, so there I was, at the library with DD18 attempting to narrow down my 1st Agatha Christie and DD18 said, "Look mom, these books look like you!" Cue the Hallmark channel more "cheesy" type of novels..I have decided that they are for me! They are the Hannah Swensen Mystery series, complete with recipes written by Joanne Fluke. So, I must say, Thank you, Diane! You have encouraged me to find what is for me and to begin reading again. We are quite different in our tastes as far as books and music, but quite alike in heart in so many other things :) Thank you for being my friend on "the other side." The book I am enjoying now is titled, "Lemon Meringue Pie Murder." Cheers!!

I have just finished “Death comes to Strandvig”. You should write more stories about Strandvig. It was funny, a good plot. And I liked the Danish Words in the text. A very funny idea. Now I read Maria Wern books.

Painful, that was the perfect description for the Dumbo movie. It's been a long time since reading the story, but I don't think the movie even really followed original story, not sure...just know if I'd had the remote instead of my hubby I would have been fast forwarding a lot! lol. Not a great film buff as, being remote, our pop-up cinema is all we have...very good though. I read Elly G, Woman/Lady in Blue?, it was OK, but The body on the Beach by Peter Brett was excellent. I broke with crime tradition (Agatha Raisin fan) and read The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew by Milly Johnson, about a politicians wife, a feel good book with a twist at the end...Hyggelig. I've watched a few DYT videos and think I might be a type one, you and I are quite similar except in one area....I love Danish Piratos! Give me your licquorice 🤣. You have reawakened an interest in clothes...I looked in my wardrobe and could have been described as a moth! I've got rid of nearly all the black and other dark colours that wash out my colour. I've unpacked all the clothes I used to wear (before my depression) and have found white, red, navy, bright green, various blues...and am getting out those matching shoes & handbags I used to love...I even wore makeup the other day! I don't know if it will last (I'm a flitter-brain!), but for now, I'm enjoying myself...I've felt happy in my clothes for the first time in ages....uplifted, re-energised...thank you from the bottom of a happier heart. xxx

That "easy recipe" reminds me of a post I saw on Facebook for an "easy" cake recipe; it takes 4 hours to make! I asked who would spend 4 hours just to make a cake and several women said they do that. That's so far beyond anything I can imagine cooking; 4 hours to make a cake that'll be eaten in 10 minutes. That seems like a huge waste of time. I guess if it keeps you off the street.... 😋

My friend is an author, she's called Rosie Garland and she's just been named by Val Mcdermid as one of the top ten LGBT writers, although her 3 novels are all very different stand alone tales and a bit like Angela Carter style?? Maybe. . She was lead singer in a post punk band called the March Violets and she's a poet with several collections to her name. She's writer in residence at the John Rylands library in Manchester. To me she's simply my bestie Rosie who comes up for the Festival. 😂
