I don't get why everyone was calling him useless. He was taking down the enemy jets doing strafing runs as well as the attack choppers. He even got numerous tanks and tons of either snipers, or people pushing the objective from the hills. I don't get how this isn't playing defense? There's almost no excuse that the friendly team couldn't hold their own on the ground when the enemy air is down 90% of the time, while enemy infantry/ground forces are also getting bombarded.

So to this day, i still play BF3 jets on the PS3. Yea... old console but very active. But.... i have to admit, from watching this video, it seems like flying jets in the PC version is so much easier. Why? Idk why but the spot system is insane... seriously you can spot enemies across the map? Also, you have more players... more enemies to kill of course. And better graphics... here on the PS3, the graphics are really blurry. Plus the spotting system in this game is weak. I can't spot a Dorito until i fly VERY close the an enemy. Sometime i crash too. Anyways... great video!

Now one thing i dont like about jets in most battlefield games, is that there is no actual effective way to take out jets, other than a skilled jet pilot. If the pilot of the jet, knows how to avoid the stingers he can and probably will 9 out of 10 times. That beeing said, that was some awesome and damn skilled piloting!

My pb (according to my battlelog profile) is 149 killstreak. It's getting 100+ and staying alive with the entire server trying to stop your killstreak that's hard :P Anything over 50 kills is redundant however, it all depends on how long the map rotation time is and how many enemies you find to kill. Just grind grind grind :P

Flying jets is the most natural cheat. You just sit around all day and kill folks off and hardly every get killed yourself. because we don't have an efficient means of bringing you down. Now in BF2 it was a bit different, as well as Bad company. IN Bf3 you guys just cruise. In Bf2 I shot down more choppers. I realize there is quite a bit of skill involved, but please you are so removed from consequences its ridiculous to tell. Let me see you get a perfect game w/o aircraft.

Skill is the most natural cheat. A competitive player can go tank, heli crew or jet and own half the map alone. On infantry maps one squad can easily tip the entire game in their favor. A jet can be taken down easily by a skilled MAA driver, an experienced chopper crew or another jet.

Recon is fine if you actually spot people instead of just padding your k/d, I can't stand snipers who try to take people out w/o spotting. playing it aggressively is another good way to play it. Someone explain to me how its "cheating" or "unfair" that he is playing the game fairly? The jets are in the game deal with it. It is part of the game you can use them anytime you want as soon as they spawn back after being destroyed or if its just sitting there. Its not cheating or unfair. Yeah, thanks to an otherwise quite useless team. He was one player in a plane, he gave unbelievable airsupport by almost singlehandedly killing of the enemy airpower AND even taking out lots of groundtargets. And with this backup, his teammates didnt achive much. Whatever went wrong, he shouldn't be made responsible.... Awesome flying and dogfighting, cudos.

Its an instakill-2 shot kill with most guns, meaning that there is virtually no skill in being able to turn on an enemy because they will kill you so quick, positioning is basically everything.

Have you... ever actually played in a game with a skilled enemy pilot..? It is extremely frustrating. The morale of your team gets affected in a bad way, and that could be the difference between wins and losses. That's the whole reason I started to fly in the first place; when the enemies have air dominace it is extremely frustrating.

The fun thing with jets is dogfighting, there is nothing else like it in the game. The reason I went 105-0 is not because I spotted and killed ground targets on routine, but because I survived and beat every jet, helicopter and stinger trying to stop me. I play Battlefield competitively with both jets and infantry and like both

I'm sorry if my wording was confusing. No, Shift is Afterburners (by default) but Rush jets don't have any afterburners so nothing happens when you use Shift. When you brake however, you can see the flaps on the wings move in Rush jets =)

For a short time, I got mad at pilots this good, but then figured out that if your team can be assed to have as few as 2 engineers start using Stingers, you can stop a good pilot from rekking the match. If a pilot reks you this hard, your team is part of the problem.

You're right I always use ECM, because it is better for dogfighting. I used Flares in this because Rush games with 64 players have incredibly many stinger soldiers, especially once you get up a decent killstreak, and Flares are simply better at dealing with stingers.

ECM is supposed to break and prevent locks; not distract already fired missiles. It can however work, but it takes some precision. Flares are best for distracting missiles. There are several ways of dodging missiles without Flares or ECM, click on link for Episode 5 in the description of this video to see how.
