Good to see the steering seems to be working well. That classic e30 heavy engine, trailing arm understeer in, oversteer out handling brings back some good memories 👍

Yeah I forgot to talk about that in the vid. But all the hard work on the steering worked out perfectly! I'm really struggling with the rear end at the moment. I really like the handling, but against Als GT3 I just can't get the power down coming out of the corner. I don't know if there's an answer to it's traction issues (short of fitting an F80 rear end :D)

@ good work then! Might consider doing this on mine. the answer to the rear is fit the f80 rear end. Makes night and day different on mine. Literally like driving a 1 tonne f80 🤣 None of that weight transfer porpousing stuff. Welcome to take u for a spin or have a go in mine 👍

@grad0n I was kind of saying it in "Tongue in Cheek". A P65 Engine is 85k. I Don't think Phil would Pay that just for an Engine to Hoon Around in. It would be Cheaper and just as Powerful as the P65 to Stroke the Engine with Dinan Parts. Car Bahn will build an 4.6 S65 for 26k with over 500bhp

Brings back many memories of my ownership of one back in the 90's and the many track days I experienced in all types of them....nothing like yours though back then! Bummer, such an awesome machine. My best guess will be broken ringland caused by a bad map bore wash... The broken bit of the piston has gone thru the engine. Lucky it's not dropped a valve! Onwards and upwards 💪

I don't know if you going to read my comment I highly recommend you put a coyote in there my friend 😗 The dimensions is pretty close you'll have easy job swapping it The coyote is more powerful more reliable and easy to find and can turn a lot of RPM and the after market for it is a lot cheaper than the S65

When you did the leak down... did you tdc to get the valves to be closed? It shouldn't leak like that.... regardless.... looks like the valve was still open when you tested it

The air was coming out of the breather. The only way for that to happen is past the piston rings with the valves closed.

Could go xdrive with a 240i motor, or a 2.5 millington motor , or just get that motor refreshed and maybe bored out a little depending on damage to the v8 👍🏻

Not sure if it's linked or not, but every video I see of you on the track I always notice that you bounce off the limiter quite often before changing gears. I seem to remember an old iteration of the car you said you'd set the limiter a little lower to protect the engine? Either way, it can't help.. Perhaps you need to lower it further?
